Job Description

The role of a site engineer is crucial in overseeing construction projects and ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. Here are the typical roles and responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Management :
• Participate in project planning meetings to understand project requirements, timelines, and objectives.
• Develop project execution plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
• Site Supervision :
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Monitor progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to safety standards.
• Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
• Quality Control and Assurance :
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Identify deficiencies or deviations from plans and coordinate corrective actions with the project team.
• Implement quality assurance measures to prevent rework and ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
• Health and Safety Compliance :
• Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on-site.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits, identify hazards, and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.
• Provide safety training and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and procedures.
• Coordination and Communication :
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate regular communication and coordination meetings to ensure alignment of project activities and resolve any conflicts or issues.
• Keep stakeholders informed of project progress, milestones, and any changes to the scope, schedule, or budget.
• Material and Equipment Management :
• Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site according to project schedules and specifications.
• Monitor inventory levels, track material usage, and ensure timely procurement to avoid delays in construction activities.
• Inspect and maintain construction equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
• Documentation and Reporting :
• Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily progress reports, inspection reports, and change orders.
• Prepare and submit reports to project management, documenting project status, issues, and resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with documentation requirements and assist in the preparation of project closeout documents.
• Problem Solving and Decision Making :
• Identify and anticipate potential problems or challenges in the construction process and develop proactive solutions.
• Make informed decisions based on project requirements, constraints, and priorities to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
• Collaborate with the project team to evaluate alternative approaches and select the most suitable course of action.
• Stakeholder Management :
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
• Address stakeholder concerns and proactively communicate project updates, milestones, and achievements.
• Seek feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and ensure client satisfaction.
• Continuous Learning and Development :
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to construction management and site engineering.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, such as training programs, seminars, and certifications, to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
