We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the implementation of top safety practices, ensuring adherence to SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) policies, reducing accidents, and preventing fire and explosions. Your role involves driving awareness campaigns, training initiatives, and emergency response preparedness, contributing significantly to maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment while preparing teams for EHS audits.Roles & Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for driving implementation of best safety practices across the units.
  • You will review the awareness campaigns/initiatives and ensure increased awareness of employees on SHE policies and procedures on a continuous basis.
  • You will drive the implementation of Risk Buckets audit recommendations, review the progress and ensure Accidents/Incidents Reduction and Fire and Explosion Prevention.
  • You will be accountable for ensure activity specific PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) compliance to minimize injuries, reviewing the implementation of the training calendar and ensuring employees are thoroughly trained in Emergency management.
  • You will establish best-in-class Emergency Response Teams (ERT) by ensuring that all ERT are trained to achieve response time in less than 60 seconds.
  • You will validate the Emergency Plan through mock-drills and reviews and implement timely upgradation of the emergency infrastructure.
  • You will be responsible for driving the Implementation/Institutionalization of PARIVARTAN (sustainability leadership award) and ensure sustainability of SHE initiatives.
  • You will train the teams and prepare them for Customer EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Audit readiness.
QualificationsEducational qualification: B.Tech./B.E safetyMinimum work experience: 15 yearsSkills & attributes:Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in SHE MIS (Management Information Systems) for data management and analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of safety operations and environmental norms specific to Bulk Drug Operations and Effluent Treatment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the features and functioning of equipment related to plant operations, safety protocols, pollution control, and fire safety systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks including the Factories Act and Environmental Laws.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments, audit recommendations, and emergency response plan validations.
Behavioural skills
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying SHE policies, procedures, and training materials to employees at all levels.
  • Strong influencing skills to drive implementation of safety practices and initiatives across units.
  • Proficiency in crisis handling to efficiently manage emergency situations and mitigate risks.
  • Networking skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners for SHE initiatives and audits.
  • Leadership and training abilities to mentor Emergency Response Teams (ERT) and prepare teams for customer EHS audits.
