As a Site Civil Engineer Intern at our Signify wood Company, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of civil engineering within the context of interior design projects. You will work closely with our experienced engineers and designers to support the planning, design, and execution of various projects. This internship will provide valuable insight into how civil engineering principles are applied to enhance interior spaces.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of site plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather data for project planning.
- Collaborate with interior designers to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes.
- Support the design and development of drainage systems, grading plans, and infrastructure layouts.
- Perform calculations for load-bearing structures, materials, and other civil engineering components.
- Monitor and report on the progress of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Participate in site inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, proposals, and permits.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify engineering designs.
- Provide technical support to the project team as needed.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
