Job Title: Ship Building Supervisor

Reports to: Shipyard Manager/Production Manager

Job Summary:

We seek an experienced Ship Blasting Supervisor to oversee surface preparation and blasting operations on vessels, ensuring high-quality results while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise blasting teams, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

2. Plan and coordinate blasting operations, including surface preparation and coating removal.

3. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards.

4. Inspect blasting work, ensuring quality standards and client requirements.

5. Manage blasting equipment maintenance and inventory.

6. Train and mentor blasting personnel.

7. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., painting, repair) to ensure efficient workflows.

8. Monitor environmental compliance and waste disposal.

9. Maintain accurate records of blasting operations.

10. Implement continuous improvement initiatives.

11. Hulk activities and work

Requirements:

1. 3+ years of experience in ship blasting/surface preparation.

2. Knowledge of blasting techniques, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

3. Proven supervisory and leadership skills.

4. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

5. Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

1. Work in a shipyard/dry dock environment.

2. Frequent walking, climbing, and standing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
