Job Description
- Establish R&D procedures and work processes.
- Development of new and/or improved product formulations to meet pharmacopeial requirements
- Development of a suitable manufacturing process for the product formulation.
- Produces sample batches at lab scale and pilot scale.
- Responsible for effective technology transfer and upscaling to commercial scale batches
- Participates in process validation for the R&D batches.
- Provides training to production personnel on improved formulation and manufacturing processes.
- Ensures suitable test method is developed and validated for the new/improved products. Managing patent search & application for all new developments
- Generating, evaluating, and developing new product ideas
- Designing and developing new components including ring spinning drafting systems
- Evaluating new components including drafting and benchmarking with the competition
- Leading root cause analysis and identification of corrective/preventive actions for field failures
- Process engineering including defining & documenting manufacturing processes including CNC turning, VMC, centerless grinding, hardening, stamping and assembly for precision mechanical components manufactured inhouse
- Root cause analysis and CAPA for product quality and other issues
- Manufacturing process trials for continual process improvements
