Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Shift In Charge to oversee operations in the Melting Department, specifically focusing on Railway Casting and Arc Furnace processes. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in engineering Diploma/ (B.E/B.Tech) in a related field along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience . As Shift In Charge, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the melting operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, optimizing production efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and lead a team of operators and technicians during the assigned shift.
• Coordinate and oversee melting operations using Arc Furnace technology, specifically for Railway Casting.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
• Monitor production metrics such as throughput, yield, energy consumption, and scrap rates.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with other departments (such as Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production Planning) to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
• Train and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Prepare shift reports, maintain records of production data, and provide updates to management.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Diploma/Bachelor's degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Foundry or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Railway Casting and Arc Furnace operations within a manufacturing environment.
