Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed, including cash handling and securing the facility.
Address any operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
Staff Supervision
:
Supervise and support team members during the shift, ensuring everyone adheres to their roles and responsibilities.
Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, support, and feedback as needed.
Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet business needs, including managing shift schedules and break times.
Handle any conflicts or issues between staff members and resolve them professionally.
Customer Service
:
Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained at all times.
Address customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
Assist customers with inquiries, complaints, or special requests.
Lead by example in promoting excellent customer service.
Inventory and Stock Management
:
Monitor inventory levels during the shift, ensuring shelves are stocked and inventory is well-organized.
Assist with inventory counts and report low-stock items to management.
Ensure proper product handling, storage, and labeling.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
:
Ensure that all staff adhere to health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing health and safety standards.
Report any safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly to management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, including cash handling and shift reporting.
Reporting
:
Prepare and submit daily shift reports, including sales data, staff performance, and any incidents that occurred during the shift.
Ensure accurate cash register balancing and financial reporting at the end of the shift.
Provide feedback to the Store Manager or Operations Manager on any operational improvements or issues.
Qualifications & Skills
:
Education
: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in management or a related field is a plus.
Experience
:
1-3 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in retail, hospitality, or a similar fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to manage staff and operations in a dynamic work environment.
Skills
:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Ability to handle conflicts and resolve issues in a calm and professional manner.
Basic understanding of inventory management and cash handling procedures.
