Job Responsibilities Shift Engineering Responsibilities Position Purpose To lead the engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel in order to ensure a high standard of building, machinery, plant, furniture, fixture and equipment in all the departments. Achieve total guest satisfaction and organizational profitability through effective utilization of all resources. Responsibilities . Implement systems and procedures that ensure safety of guest, employees, plant, machinery and property. . Staffing and scheduling of the department and allocation of duties. . Develop systems and procedures that achieve higher cost efficiency and guest satisfaction. . Facilitate learning and development for all the team members of the department. . Performance Appraisal/ Management of the staff in the department. . Co-ordinate with Executive Housekeeper, Front Office Manager and other HODs on preventive maintenance of rooms and other repair work Reporting relationship Reports to Chief Engineer Interdepartmental Interaction Varying degree of interactions with all departments Task statements . Preparing Shift Schedules-, Man Power planning, Leave Planning For All the Staff, Job Allocation, Log Books, Reports and ensuring smooth operation of Shifts. . GSTS Tracking-Execution Of Checklist/Procedures . Electrical, A/ c plants, Boiler, Refrigerating, Equipment\'s, PM Of Rooms, Public Area P.M, Cooling Tower PM, Water Tanks/Coolers, Kitchen Eqpt, DG Sets, Preparation Of Schedules/Checklist, Executing The PM, Documentation . Active participation in Balance Score Card Implementation and Documentation. . Control On Energy Resources/Documentation/ Savings to Be Achieved . Preparing COO\'s Reports, Accounts Monthly Report, form B&D Report in Time. . Repair and Up keep of machineries with departmental staff. If required to be repaired by Contractors, after checking with HOD quotes can be invited and the same rate finalization to do with Assistant Engineer / HOD. Bills of contract works to be scrutinized for quality work done, measurements, specifications and Costing. . Training Schedule Preparation /Execution On Various Subjects And Documenting The Same. . Interdepartmental Job Orders Execution/Documentation. . Staff Performance Appraising Regularly. . Active Participation in Capex/ Renovation Works and Executing within the Time Frame Fixed by Engineer In-Charge. . AMC Machinery\'s Service Schedules To Follow . Follow up /Implementation Of Corporate Sop\'s As Per The Instruction . TPM Implementation -Execution/Documentation . Control on Optimum Equipment Operations/Performance/Avoiding Breakdowns. . Fire Safety Equipment\'s P.M schedules Follow-up and Compliance to GOVT rules & Regulations . Innovative Idea/Feedback -Processing/Implementation. . Control Over Obsolete Material Disposal/Documentation . Implementation of Internal Audit-Accounts Reports As Per The Guidance Of HOD / Assistant Engineer. . Follow the Guide lines of TCOC and ICM Requirement Knowledge/Skills . Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil and related equipment and working knowledge of all other plant, equipment and utilities. . Energy & environment conservation techniques . Knowledge of Automated building management system, work request systems, fire alarm and sprinkler systems etc. . Working knowledge of MS Office . Knowledge of statutory compliances related to electrical fittings, boilers etc. Education . Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering / 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering Experience . Progression through various positions in the Engineering department, and a minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in the Engineering & Maintenance function.
