PURPOSE
• Ensure all equipment and facilities electrical maintenance is performed in accordance with APMT and applicable local electrical regulations/legislation Oversee all maintenance activities like PM, CM, Emergency maintenance, CBM, trouble shotting & fault finding etc. for all port area power distribution system. Ensure, Lead, control team for critical maintenance activity.
• Responsible for operation and maintenance activities, Execution of CAPEX projects of all power distribution equipment ex. 220 KV switch yard, ACB, LT/HT Transformers, LT /HT switch gears, Relays, VCB panel, RMUs, Plant Area Lighting etc.
• Responsible for operation & maintenance of UPS for entire port area, power backup systems.
• Responsible for maintenance of HT/LT electrical panels, wirings at power generation equipment like, 3 MW gensets, portable DG sets, Auto change over panels etc.
• Responsible for all colony electrical maintenance related activities, port facilities electrical maintenance.
• Collaborate with Govt agencies for all electrical supply related works like major maintenance, planned shutdowns, Emergency response, invoice process, new equipment installation / removal, provide coordination to accord compliance activities related to elect. act like electrical annual inspection of connected load, grid metering calibration & relay tastings, Annual electrical contract license renewal, Power survey audit etc.
• Ensure the safety and integrity of all electrical equipment within a terminal and all equipment certifications remain in compliance with local legislation. Periodic power testing work at port must be ensured.
• Ensure safe & efficient operation & maintenance of 1000 KWp Solar Power Plant at port.
• Budgeting, R&M monitoring of annual maintenance activity & long-term maintenance plans. Plan CAPEX cost whenever require. Ensure optimum inventory is maintenance for maintenance activities & emergency works.
• Ensure all electrical isolations (major work / running maintenance) to be performed as per required standard and appropriate records to be maintain. Also, all internal/externals stakeholders are to be communicated including gov. agency as per SOP.
• Provide appropriate technical knowledge and electrical skills, giving the ability, competence & quick response to undertake breakdown and restorative maintenance for all types of electrical equipment installed at the port terminal. Plan training to the staff as per requirement.
• Ensure all details and learnings from electrical breakdown response and repair activities are recorded within the CMMS.
• Collaborate and share technical knowledge and experience with other members of the Terminal Asset Maintenance team/ Archetype group.
• Responsible to ensure works as per AMC for overall operation & maintenance for 220 KV system, solar power plant. Ensure all technical & commercial communications are done for electrical works.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
SAFETY
• Ensure all electrical equipment & facilities maintenance is performed in accordance with APMT standards and local legislation, and equipment is returned to service meeting such standards
• Participate in electrical safety training, authorisations and technical updates for terminal operations and maintenance, where it is required.
• Assist with electrical equipment incident investigations, where incident occur.
• Oversee all facilities and equipment electrical isolations and lockouts.
PERFORMANCE
• Responsible for all electrical planned / unplanned maintenance works.
• Follow best practice in electrical equipment maintenance repair and investigation work, according to APMT maintenance procedures, standards, and OEM requirements.
• Fully understand, comply, and lead other staff on electrical safe systems of work, permit to work and electrical Lock-Out/ Tag-Out, as required under APMT mandatory safety procedures.
• Licensing work with Govt authorities as per requirement.
• Enhance and promote best practice in electrical maintenance management by ensuring the right knowledge is available to the terminal's maintenance team.
• Develop and maintain a list of external electrical resources and contacts for any specialised electrical services that may be outside of the normal remit of the terminal.
• Apply the global policies, procedures, and guidelines for the electrical engineering discipline, making localised adjustments and enhancements, where appropriate, which will support the APMT business to sustain safe operation of terminal equipment.
• Organise and manage electrical modifications or new projects, for the terminal, either by direct involvement or through the facilitation of outsourced turnkey projects
• Undertake or organise local electrical surveys/ audits, where these are required Support electrical incident investigations, where these occur.
• Provide input or professional advice for special local procurement.
• Ensure APMT electrical integrity management policies are followed.
STRATEGY
• Support the Electrical Specialist and/or Equipment Managers in providing specialised insight into electrical equipment failure characteristics and maintenance analytics.
• Support medium to long term planning for electrical equipment renewal and refurbishment to maintain overall asset integrity and ensure achievement of production targets for the terminal or archetype group.

ASSET INTEGRITY
• Work collaboratively with other Asset Maintenance disciplines and terminal staff to ensure that the safe and efficient operation of the terminal equipment is always sustained, and that maximum benefits are achieved in the control of quality and costs.
• Ensure that all electrical failure causes, modes, and maintenance actions are properly recorded within the CMMS (or other non- electronic maintenance system)
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
• Provide technical input for electrical equipment and spare parts procurement.
• Ensure all outsourced service contactors adhere to APMT electrical standards and local legislation/guidelines.
PEOPLE/COMMUNICATIONS
• Share skills and knowledge and best practice for electrical installations and maintenance.
• Communicate clearly with all internal personnel and external contacts including Government authorities.
• Communicates for all planned, unplanned maintenance related to electrical power to all stakeholders timely & effectively.
COST MANAGEMENT
• Ensures R&M costs are optimised by detailed study, innovative methods.
REPORTING AND SCOPE
• The position reports to the Manager- Civil, Facility, Reefer, Reliability
• The scope of the position is locally based, with occasional requirements for travel

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• He should be Diploma/B. E Electrical.
• Minimum 4-5 years' experience in the electrical equipment specialism and Asset Maintenance operations. He should have experience of 4-5 years for Power distribution system operation & maintenance for -similar to 220 KV. He should have Proven Ability to lead team for rectification of complex technical issues.
• Appropriate local Electrical installation/maintenance qualifications
• Equipment OEM apprenticeship or technician training scheme in electrical engineering
• Good analytical, communication, leadership skills and ability to apply them to electrical maintenance and repair.
• Structured, driven, self-motivating, result orientated, and capable of participating collaboratively within a team to achieve success.
• Well disciplined, following through on actions and ensuring necessary documentation and IFS records are properly completed.
• High quality awareness and ability to work with constant care.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with other functions and engineering disciplines.
• Good written English and verbal communication.
