The role will be responsible to operate & monitor the Primary Plants as per daily production plan at best efficiency level while in complete compliance with AL Group's safety, reliability and efficiency guidelines.
He/ she directly reports to the Production-in-Charge/Facility Manager and is supervised by the Maintenance-in-Charge for performing maintenance jobs. As such, he/ she contributes for safe & reliable plant operations, & to improve plant's availability & efficiency.
Accountabilities & Related Activities
Maintenance Support -Part B
• Daily routine operations of the ASU and H2 plant with compliance of AL safety guidelines and monitoring of the plant from DCS.
• Ensure the completion of E-round Checklist, weekly & monthly checklists, Machines startup checklist, Interlock bypass checklist and completion of E-logbook for shift activities.
• Review the field reading daily wise and understand deviation and inform PIC
• Complete knowledge on plant PFDs,P&IDs,logical and functional diagrams.
• ASU process knowledge in through details (Including Knowledge and management of process Hazards), ASU startup ( Cold & warm start up) and shutdown and plant deriming.
• Safe,reliable and efficient operation of Air compressor,APU,Cold box,Tanker loading and backup system.
• Discuss with PIC the ideas to improve efficiency for validation.
• Safe,reliable and efficient operation of Hydrogen plant and raw source hydrogen system.
• Safe,reliable and efficient operation ofGGL APSA-L and completion of GGL APSA-L filed checklist and production repoprt.
• Active participation in tool box meetings, safety meetings and production meetings.
• Maintain the quality of products and ensure the quality product supplies to the customers.
• Ensure proper corrective action for plant abnormal situations.
• Implementation of Safe work permit system and LOTO procedure.
• Making the production report- ER2A on a daily basis.
• To adhere to reporting of all safety, reliability incidents & any deviation at plant to his (her) managers.
• SOPs & Work Instructions awareness & applying in his/her job for safe, reliable & efficient plant operations.
• To carry out troubleshooting and corrective actions, as required, without compromising safety & reliability of the plant
• Support to PIC/Sr ScME to collect the facts list timely and perfectly.Active participation in the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations & implementation of corrective action plans.
• Active participation in safety programs (like JHA, Safety walks etc) with the objective of safe plant operations.
• Timely completion of assigned training & qualification programs. Active self-efforts to develop own competencies at plant operations, with the objective that he (she) will be qualified to start-up, & run complete plant without supervision.
• Actively contribute to the safe shutdown and startup activities for planned, unplanned & emergency shutdowns.
• To show professional etiquettes & respect in manners dealing with his (her) colleagues, support teams & others.
• Understand basic requirements of water treatment and daily dosing details.
• Basic understanding of electrical power distribution systems.
• Remember the process parameters in different plant modes of operation. Like max LOX, LIN, MP LIN, Single MAC operation etc.
• Ensure completion of assigned trainings in LMS / Intelex
• Train the Jr. ScME through systemic written training plan
• OJT to Jr. SCME

• Experience in operation/commissioning of Air Separation process plants.4-5 yr
Knowledge and Knowhow specific to the job
o 4-5 years experience in operation/commissioning of Air Separation process plants.
• Working/ understanding of process & technology used in plant (preferably ASU Operations).
• Process oriented, troubleshooting skills, analytical skills.
• Good communication skills, basic fluency in English.
• Technical degree from a recognized institute.
