We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, \'anchor\', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction: The role holder is responsible for providing 3rd level platform and infrastructure support for the global SharePoint service. The purpose of the role is to ensure that Barclays SharePoint platforms are administered and maintained in line with infrastructure standards, governance and security policies to meet SharePoint service availability and performance targets. The role holder will be a member of the global SharePoint Platform Support team who provide reactive and proactive support, ensure consistent monitoring and deliver support automation for the SharePoint service. The role holder will be responsible for incident resolution, change implementation and problem management. The role holder is expected to have strong IT infrastructure background, the ability to own and resolve incidents and problems end-to-end and work closely work closely with other technical areas, e.g. SQL, Windows and Storage teams. What will you be doing . Incident Management - responsible for SharePoint infrastructure incidents and alerts resolution in accordance with support SLA. . Problem Management - responsible for investigating raised problems and ensuring that root cause identification and resolution takes place for all assigned problem records. . Change Management - responsible for ensuring that all BAU changes to SharePoint platform and infrastructure are assessed, planned and implemented in adherence to company governance and control procedures. . Systems Management - responsible for SharePoint platform support and preventative maintenance - to include proactive monitoring, system checks, house-keeping and scheduled maintenance activities. . Capacity Management - proactively manage and report on capacity of SharePoint platforms. . Operational Readiness - take full accountability for the testing and acceptance of all change into SharePoint production environment, including documentation reviews and operations manual production. . Innovation - a key requirement for this role is to continually keep appraised of Infrastructure and Application enhancements in order to have the ability to continually be reviewing innovative solutions and service improvements as part of the role. . Communication - with any incident raised or escalation to service the role holder must have the ability to communicate at all levels. This would include Client, Line Management and Peer interpersonal skills to either verbally communicate direction and changes required as part of the role, and to follow this up by the production of clear communication to the Client, or process changes/enhancements to line management and peers.
