:Job PurposeTo assist DH-Sec.& Admn.Services, Plan, organize, monitor and control timely availability of fire fighting services during emergency and security arrangements related to township, factory premises and the units assets to maintain and provide a confidence of self secured environment. Ensure Zero Theft inside the Colony & Plant by taking all sorts of precautions & prevention methods of Theft/ Pilferage. Timely support to DH & Team in any critical conditions, gathering vital/ important information. Improve the art of vigilance/ intelligence system.Job Context & Major ChallengesJob context:
Sidhi Cement Plant was commissioned with the manufacturing capacity of 3.5 MTPA and clinker capacity of 3.0 MTPA. The first unit was supplied by L&T (SLC KILN -4500 TPD) and was successfully commissioned in January 2009. The Second unit was supplied by FL SMIDTH (ILC KILN - 5000 TPD) and was also successfully commissioned in January 2013.Limestone requirement of the plant is 4.5 MTPA. To meet the limestone requirement, limestone mines are spread over 1566.36 Ha having deposits sufficient for around 33 years. Limestone crusher including wobblers having capacity of 1000 TPH, located inside the plant. Material is transported from mines to plant through dumpers. The Unit has two captive thermal power plants of 35 MW & 2X60 MW i.e. a total of 155 MW and one Solar Plant of 6.25 MW capacity. The water requirement of plant is catered from Bansagar canal and Mine pit having total permission of 3400 KLD which is flowing close to plant approximately 50-70 meters. The Cement & Power Plant is located in a unique location which is surrounded by Kaimur Hills in north an extension of Vindhyachal Range, and Bakura Khenjua hills in south. Towards the west is located one of the largest water body on which Ban Sagar Dam has been constructed. Ban Sagar canal emanating from the Dam runs through mining lease area of the Plant and leads to Bihar via UP. The Plant location covers portions of all four Districts around it. The plant with its structures and some mining area falls in Sidhi district. Two mining areas come under Satna district, whereas Railway siding at Beohari is under Shahdol district. Commissioner & forest offices, power distribution unit for Power Plants is in Shilpara and comes in Rewa district. The plant has a state of art technology viz Vertical Roller Mill from L&T & FLSMIDTH for grinding clinker, Vertical roller Mills from POLYSIUS AG & FLSMIDTH for grinding Limestone and coal.Job Challenges:

  • Implementation of UTCL Policies & Procedures in the unit.
  • Managing team work of security staff.
  • Improving Theft, pilferage & Access control.
  • Improving fire system and liaising with local Govt. Authorities.
Key Result Areas KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters) Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters)
KRA1 Overall in charge of security manpower & responsible for discipline, leave, welfare and training of the security. ( Both Co. & Contract employees ) . -To enforce co. rules & regulation related to Security.
-To maintain effective surveillance.
- To render prompt services to plant, Colony & Mines in case of strike, Fire, Power failure or accident etc.
- Daily check all Security related reports, Files and duty registers, daily check all security related reports, file and duty registers.
- Daily check materials gate passes.
- Daily check and forward Cement Trucks time deviation and weigh report .
- Daily collect Security and Intelligence report pertaining to Company and forward to Superiors.
- Monitoring Contractor Labours entry report.
- Monitor monthly gate passes of Contractors, Suppliers Deployments.
- Monitoring inward & outward employees movements.
- Monitoring Men, Materials and Vehicles at Plant Gate. - Monitoring proper maintenance of record of in/out going materials.
- To Conduct Programs for fitness of Security I by drill/Parade.
- Organise Parade and train students of Jayjyoti School for 26th January and 15th August parade every Year.
KRA2 Plan, organize & control security arrangements in plant, mines & township area to safeguard units assets & employees.
- Ensure Zero Theft inside the Plant & Colony.
- Develop an effective Intelligence/ Vigilance System & assist DH-SA&CSR, in this regard by giving timely feedback.
Develop excellent co-operation & team spirit, among team mates & assist DH at the time critical condition/ management crisis. - Implement security plans, standards and procedures to ensure effective security of the plant & colony.
- Monitor access control of visitors.
- Ensure Zero % Theft Cases inside the Colony & Plant premises.
- Develop effective Intelligence & Vigilance System & assist DH-SA&CSR, in this regard by giving timely feed back.
KRA3 Ensure maintenance of fire-fighting equipment and operate during emergencies within short notice. - Ensure availability of trained fire fighting team.
- Ensure serviceability of fire fighting equipments.
- Ensure all the documents, records, registers pertaining to the Fire System, Equipments are in tact & update for Audit purpose.
- Check/Monitor all the Fire tenders in an excellent condition & well maintained always.
KRA4 Liaise with law enforcement agencies / police . - Establish cordial relationship with law enforcing agencies upto circle level.
- Develop intelligence network within & outside company.
- Close watch on the union activities, labors unrest/movements, black listed persons, village intelligence , develop counter intelligence net work & assist DH by giving timely feed back.
KRA5 Ensure movement of trucks & weighment of materials. - Ensure & regulate entry & exit of trucks in the factory.
- Ensure proper weighment of incoming & outcoming materials.
- Ensure quick Truck Around Time (TAT) in co-ordination with Logistics & Packing Plant.
KRA6 Monitoring of Visitors System at all the Gates to ensure Unauthorized Entry of Personnel inside the Township & Plant are strictly restricted. Day to Day monitor of Visitors System at all the Gates & Ensure Unauthorized Entry of Personnel inside the Colony & Plant.
KRA7 Safety Culture for controlling the effectiveness of implementation. - Controlling of smooth functioning of PPEs at the PPE booth for vehicle operators ensuring Zero % Complaint in related with Issue & Quality.- Control the 2 / 4 wheeler drivers for their compliance of system. Also ensure Crash Helmets used by all the 2 wheelers including the pillion riders.
KRA8 Key Systems & Process Institutionalization. - Improvement in the Audit Score of WCM.
- Improve Kaizen Reporting(Nos/Employee/Annum)
- Development of Model Areas.
- To Complete all Safety Behaviour Observation Rounds.
KRA9 The system requirements of ISO, EMS, OHSAS, SA 8000 and WCM systems in thorough the involvement of employees for improving working and quality standard. The system requirements of WCM systems through the involvement of employees for improving working and quality standard.
