Job Description


:Job PurposeEnsure secure environment in Plant, township & mines area, security of men & material, Access control of men, material & vehicles, weigh bridge operations, , execution of road safety norms to prevent incidents, protection & prevention measures for fire safety, coordination with all departments to resolve issues related to security, Incident investigation & reporting, Intelligence collection & dissemination, sending shift reports & MIS of security activities, manpower deployment & supervisionJob Context & Major ChallengesUltraTech Cement Limited has an annual capacity of 119.95 million tonnes (MTPA). It manufactures and markets Ordinary Portland Cement Portland Blast Furnace Slag Cement and Portland Pozzalana Cement. It also manufactures ready mix concrete RMC. The company has 22 integrated plants one white cement plant one clinkerization plant in UAE 27 grinding units 11 in India. UltraTech Cement is the country largest exporter of cement clinker. The export markets span countries around the Indian Ocean Africa Europe and the Middle East.2 in UAE one in Bahrain and Bangladesh each and five terminals four in India and one in Sri Lanka. UltraTech Cement is the country largest exporter of cement clinker. The export markets span countries around the Indian Ocean Africa Europe and the Middle East. Balaji Cement Works is located 200 km from Hyderabad, around 12 km from National Highway No 65. It has cement manufacturing capacity of 5 MTPA and Clinker capacity of 3.6 MTPA (Kiln rated capacity 10,000 TPD). Entire grinding capacity is at one location.
Limestone requirement of the unit is 6.0 MTPA. To meet the limestone requirement, Budawada Limestone Mine is spread over 629.22 Ha having deposits sufficient for around 60 years. Two limestone crushers with capacity of 900 TPH each, located inside unit, 2.7 km from mine. Material is transported from mine to unit through dumpers.
Unit has two captive thermal power plants of 35 MW and 22.5 MW each in addition to 15 MVA grid power connection with SEB to cater the entire power requirement of the unit. The unit has private railway siding for its inbound/ outbound material/fuel/cement & clinker movement. There is 12 KM water pipe line from Krishna River to unit to meet the water requirement of unit and township.
Challenges:
To ensure accountability / safety of men and materials, company structures and peaceful working of the establishment, provide information on intelligence, manage distress, calamities, firefighting& emergencies with minimum loss to the organization, represent and protect interest of the company at various levels, build a team of security personnel with commitment and high morale to meet challenges at all times. Having close liaising with local as well as police and other local bodies and authorities in the interest of the company. Rescue from encroachment of open lands owned / leased by the company. Maintaining communal harmony among employees, contract workmen and stake holders for smooth function of organization.Key Result Areas KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters) Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters)
KRA1 Security of Plant ,Mines & Township :
Ensure security arrangements in plant, mines & township area to safeguard units assets & employees.
Security Guards Deployment & supervision
Liaison Activities: 1. Daily deployment of security manpower & supervision.
2. Patrolling of the area in regular intervals
3. Access control of men, material & vehicles
4. Ensure proper checking of men & vehicles at the Gates
5. Ensure PPE compliance while allowing inside.
1. Proper briefing & Debriefing of guards, deployment & supervision.
2. Maintain Discipline of security guards
3. Training & induction of new security staff.
4. Skill assessment & performance evaluation1. Build relationships with local villagers, Govt. Officials so as to ensure seamless services at plant & township.
2. Liaison with local poiliceLocal Police
KRA2 Intelligence Information:
Incident Investigation & Reporting 1. Gather informations on activities within and outside the plant.
2. Keep constant vigil on workers activities and unruly elements.
3. Ensuring procedures like Night Vigilance Duty (NVD), CCTV, MIS, etc.1. Investigate all security incidents & report to be sent to SH-Security & DH-Admin
2. Daily shift reports
3. MIS of security activities
KRA3 SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiatives 1. Ensuring 100% compliance of all safety standards and all applicable recommendations related to their concerned area.
2. Educating team about I know my job, I know the hazards associated with my job and I applied control measures & I escalate to my senior among manpower deployed in sections/department manpower including peer, WB & CL manpower.
3. Timely conducting scheduled SO round and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses on occurrences in the area of concern in system.
4. To conduct daily Tool Box Talk as schedule and before start the job any critical job along with SWP
5. Active participation in safety training, safety sub committees, standard champions meeting and any safety event
6. Ensure adherence to COVID precautions and guidelines issued by management time to time along with adherance of safety precautions on the site and off the site to be safe
KRA4 System Management
(Effective implementation of IMS and other systems requirements through involvement for continuous improvement in plant working condition & quality standards) 1. Timely submission of Kaizen, OPL, Good to fine, suggestion on system
2. 100% active participation in respective KFA & GRT meetings and giving inputs related to bring new technology, innovation and improvements towards productivity. Conduct awareness programmes down the level team
3. To know about IMS and other systems requirement and documents for Non-Conformity in section during internal and external audits or assessments.
KRA5 Intelligence Information: 1. Gather informations on activities within and outside the plant.
2. Keep constant vigil on workers activities and unruly elements.
