#### Job Purpose


Plan, organize, coordinate and ensure all the activities of raw material procurement and supply chain management of raw material, minimize cost, ensure customer satisfaction and smooth / uninterrupted operation of the plant

#### Job Context & Major Challenges


Job Context: Dalla Cement Works (DCW); a flagship unit of Ultratech Cement Ltd. (UTCL), is located around 120 km from Varanasi on Varanasi - Pipari SH-5 on the southern bank of river Sone. The unit started with an old unit K4 of 0.5 MTPA of clinker. The journey of excellence with technological Up gradation resulted in two units (Line-4 & 5) with ultimate capacity of 2.0 MTPA Clinker and 0.5 MTPA cement production. The unit produces Gray Cement & Clinker.

Unit has certified for Integrated Management System & upgraded to 2015 version; which has inclusion of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 & OHSAS 18001.

Dalla Cement Works has won several accolades at the national and international level for its Quality, Environment, Safety & Productivity. Dalla Cement is bagged with many awards. Some of them are Greentech award for best environment practices, National Safety Award by the Ministry of Labour & Employment (Govt. of India) , Three National Energy Awards i.e. First National Energy Conservation Award-2011 organized by Ministry of Power (Govt. of India) &BEE; second - Energy Efficient Unit National Award for Excellence in Energy Management-2012 organized by CII and third - Energy Excellence Award in Energy Management 2013 organized by CII



Job Challenges:

1) Timely availability of Fuels, RM & Pkg bags for Dalla & GU's

2) To develop new AFR materials/Suppliers.

3) Maintain stock of Raw Materials/Fuels as per Ideal level

4) Availability of proper storage space for RM & Fuels

5) Reduction in Truck Turn Around time.

6) Reduction in Dead Freight


7) To implement & ensure UTCL Safety standards in Raw material section.

8) 100% compliance of SOP & other systems.

#### Key Result Areas

KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters) Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters)


KRA1 Procurement of Raw Materials : Plan, negotiate and procure all Raw Materials, coal and packing bags to meet the production & dispatch targets a) Collect and review the monthly requirement from the users & monitor procurement plan

b) Visit source / location as & when required

c) Negotiation and finalization of the supplier and handling agents etc

d) Develop new vendors and coordinate with CPC for bags / open market coal

e) Organize emergency requirements

f) Monitor vendors performance


KRA2 Cost / Quality Control: Monitor, coordinate & review cost / quality of raw material, coal, additives and packing bags to ensure optimum cost & required quality a) Review monthly MIS reports

b) Coordinate for quality checks

c) Identify & develop new sources

d) Monitor budgets and coordinate for proper storage to avoid shortage / wastage

e) Coordinate for correct measurement / weighment


KRA3 Logistics : Logistic of incoming raw materials by rail and road a) Plan for mode of transport by rail or road

b) Market study for availability of transport and freight trend in case of road

c) Ensure through deployment of staff or handling agents for proper supervision of material loading so that there is minimum freight loss and avoid overloading penalty in case of loading in rakes

d) Negotiation and finalize transporters and develop new transporters


KRA4 Inventory Management: Review inventory position periodically to maintain optimum inventory levels a)Daily inventory stock review

b) Ensure proper accounting


c) Give timely feedback to user department & management

d) Coordinate with CPC for timely support of bags/Fuel


KRA5 Liaison : Liaison with Government authorities for smooth operation in procurement of Raw Materials a) Liaison with Railways official

b) Liaison for coal


KRA6 People development a) Development of supporting staff through Job rotation and Multiskilling


b) Change Management




Qualifications:

Diploma,MBA


Minimum Experience Level:

4-10 Years
