Department: Instrumentation EngineerHow you might spend your days (Main Roles & Responsibilities)As a SIS Sr. Engineer, you'll be working with an innovative, multi-disciplinary team where you'll :

  • Responsible for delivering design works for complex projects.
  • Perform and review on IO allocations, IO schedule, JB schedule, etc.
  • Perform and review electrical and control wiring for SIS Instruments.
  • Have sound knowledge in ATEX, ISA and IEC, safety requirements.
  • Tendering, BOQ preparation.
  • Review of vendor offers.
  • Technical Bid Evaluation
  • Participating in FAT/SAT activities.
  • Make decisions and solve problems related to the SIS design activities for the project.
  • Will be supporting the lead of the project or package from the project in all project sizes and phases.
  • Coordinate technical work with HSE, Process, Automation, Electrical, BMS and Mechanical
  • Shall be able to execute pharma projects autonomously and take SIS Instrumentation Specification and sizing responsibility in all projects.
  • Should have the ability to understand the scope baseline and should have thorough knowledge in addressing change control.
  • Work is performed entirely independent and might involve leading processes or parts of a larger process.
  • Ensure interfaces to and coordination with other disciplines.
  • Ensure disciplinary consistency, quality, and compliance.
  • Take initiative to find effective engineering design solutions to problems arising in your own discipline, in the interfaces with other disciplines
  • Coordinate and support other team members in their discipline or department
  • Help in the development of competency of the employees of areas of your own expertise
  • Follow the latest technology trends within the instrumentation discipline
  • Review the work of Engineers/ Jr. in own discipline
  • Share knowledge across projects for technical and project execution alignment within own discipline.
  • Cost calculations, input for proposals and review of costs for proposals
  • Support in development of standards and guidelines
  • Technical leadership setting direction/standards within and in alignment with the team
  • Expected to plan and prioritize own work in a complex and changing environment (VUCA)
  • Makes operational decisions through a choice between known alternatives. Provide advice to customers proactively.
  • Planning and progress evaluation skills at the overall discipline level
  • Demonstrate subject matter knowledge.
  • Expected to identify better practice and improve procedures, processes, tools, equipment, or techniques.
  • Responsible for the technical outcome of own discipline in projects
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with technical solutions
  • Be Innovative in your approach & take initiative for continuous improvement
  • Ready to travel anywhere in India or abroad for site visits and shall be able to solve queries related to the site.
Who you are (Preferred Competencies)Providing level of support to complex process challenges for SIS design
  • Specification for SIS systems
  • Knowledge on HAZOP and SIL studies.
  • Safety requirement specification.
  • Cause and Effect preparation.
  • SIS architectural design.
  • Vendor documents review.
  • SIL calculations.
  • Understanding of IEC 61511 and 61508 standards, ISA S84.1.
  • ATEX principles / hazardous area design.
  • Intrinsically safe calculations.
  • TUV / Exida Certification (Added advantage).
The miles you've walked (Education and Work Experience)In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:
  • You have a degree in engineering within Instrumentation, or equivalent engineering discipline.
  • You have a minimum of 8 years of Engineering experience in Bio Pharma/ Oil & Gas/ chemical industries or similar.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written.
