Job Title: Salesforce Administrator with Proficiency in Informatica ETL
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Salesforce Administrator with a strong background in
data integrations using Informatica ETL. The ideal candidate will have a background working at a higher
education institution and be responsible for the overall administration, configuration, and maintenance
of our Salesforce platform, TargetX application, ensuring optimal functionality and performance. In
addition, the candidate should possess advanced skills in designing, implementing, and managing data
integrations using Informatica ETL.
1. Salesforce Administration:

• Administer and configure Salesforce, specifically TargetX application, to meet the

organization\'s business requirements.

• Manage user roles, profiles, security settings, workflows, and approval processes.
• Customize and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, layouts, and record types.
• Train and collaborate with end users to assure they have the appropriate tools and skills to

perform operational tasks.
2. Data Integration using Informatica ETL:

• Work with key stakeholders and technology staff throughout the University, but particularly

in IT Enterprise Systems and Institutional Research, on implementing integration between
the University\xe2\x80\x99s enterprise systems and external data sources. Maintain integration routines
and troubleshoot issues.

• Design, develop, and implement robust data integration solutions using Informatica

PowerCenter or other relevant ETL tools.

• Create and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data between Salesforce

and other systems such as Student Information Systems using SQL Server data connectors or
APIs.

• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data cleansing and validation procedures.

3. Reporting and Analytics:

• Develop and maintain advanced reports and dashboards in Salesforce to provide actionable

insights to stakeholders.

• Utilize tools such as Salesforce Einstein Analytics, Tableau, or other BI platforms for creating

dynamic visualizations.

• Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements and translate them

into effective solutions.
4. System Maintenance and Support:

• Perform regular system maintenance tasks such as TargetX updates, including monitoring

performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing system configurations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and provide

ongoing support for Salesforce-related needs.

• Process Management and Design \xe2\x80\x93 Work with key stakeholders and technology staff on

implementing new technologies and processes for systems that improve Division operations
and contribute to student success.
5. Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of Salesforce configurations, customizations, and

integrations.

• Create and update documentation for data integration processes and ETL workflows.

6. Training and User Support:

• Provide training to end-users on Salesforce functionality, best practices, and new features.
• Offer support and troubleshooting assistance to users, addressing issues related to

Salesforce and data integrations.
Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator, with a focus on data integrations.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing data integration solutions using Informatica

PowerCenter or similar ETL tools.

• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce architecture, data model, and security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business

processes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively

with cross-functional teams.

• Salesforce Administrator and/or Informatica certification is a plus.

Skills:

• Demonstrated knowledge in relational database concepts
• Ability to develop and analyze complex structured query language (SQL) programming
• Experience working with enterprise information systems in a multi-departmental setting
• Ability to apply complex problem-solving techniques
• Knowledge of the systems development life cycle, structured analysis and design techniques,

user requirement definition, interviewing and data collection techniques

• Excellent communications skills working with people with varying levels of fluency with

information technology and data analytics in order to achieve the desired outcomes
Education:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree is required and a master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in an area related to the position requirements is
preferred.
Minimum 5 years IT experience required with at least 2 years in higher education, particularly using
student information systems and data analytics.
