Illumina is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Sr. ServiceNow QA Analyst to ensure quality and functionality of the ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will be a key member of an Agile development team. You will leverage your deep understanding of QA principles to design, execute, and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy.Position Summary:Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for firm products. Develops, modifies and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition and processing.Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs and other related duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities:

• Partner with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand new features, functionalities, and requirements to build comprehensive test plans.
• Develop and document test cases, test strategies, identify test areas for automation and other test artifacts.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to create User Acceptance Test (UAT) scripts and facilitate their execution.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Analyze test results, identify defects and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Stay up to date on latest ServiceNow features especially around testing.
• Provide testing estimate and time estimates as part of Sprint Planning.
• Create test process and procedure documentation.
• At least 5 years minimum working as a QA analyst with 2 or more years of domain experience in the ServiceNow platform.
• Demonstrated experience writing test plans, test cases and test strategies.
• Experience performing both manual and automated testing with preference given to using tools such as ServiceNow ATF framework.
• Ability to represent test plans and test coverage using enterprise tools such as Visio, Lucid Chart, Teams, Confluence, Jira and others
• Experience working in an Agile development environment with Product Owners and Developers
• Experience working in a regulated environment within a global company (preferred)
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes or certification (preferred)

• 5-8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred

• Applies core knowledge and understanding of area of specialization to provide solutions in creative and effective ways.
• Assesses unusual circumstances and uses sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify cause and suggest variations in approach.
• Works on assignments of diverse scope where information is limited and problem solving requires adaptation of existing techniques.
• Enhances internal and external working relationships and networks with senior partners within area of expertise.
• Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters that require persuasion.
• Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points.
• Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select best course of action.

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 3 years and a Masters degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
