PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Establish technical direction for the Global Platforms that enable our business units to deliver life saving care for our patients. As a technology leader, you will interface with senior business and other technology leaders to define modern platform architectures and capabilities. You will continuously engage with the implementation teams to ensure adoption of architectural principles and provide guidance for strategic solution designs. As a servant leader, you will join the various solution implementation teams, ensuring a tangible result of the realized architectural direction that enables the delivery of critical care for the patients we serve. ServiceNow FOCUS:

• IT / Java Developer focus
• Experience and firm grasp of Angular JS, Jquery, HTML, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, and XML
• Firm grasp on software development design patterns. Agile and Scrum processes
• Firm understanding of database use and design as it relates to software implementation
• Able to perform detailed software code reviews with other software developers
• Solid Experience in relational database concepts and working with Oracle and SQL Queries
• Able to work creatively, analytically, and independently in a problem solving environment
• Should have in-depth experience of operations and control procedures as well as systems analysis and design
• Able to perform detailed Java code reviews with other Java Software Developers

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define and set strategic technology direction for designated platforms in collaboration with business and technology leaders
• Demonstrate and provide hands on guidance in the implementation of new architectural patterns, enabling a successful path to implementation
• Enable solutions that realize iterative value while directionally achieving future state vision
• Mentor technologists and provide active guidance/collaboration with team members
• Contribute in the establishment of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s architecture framework in design, process and technology standardization
• Actively collaboration in leading and execution of the platform development cycles
• Actively participate and engage with strategic vendors and external technology landscape to maintain our competitive advantage
• Ensure solutions meet/exceed required local compliance and regulatory rules
• Establish, negotiate, and implement third Party IT Agreements for outsourced Infrastructure and Applications Support, along with vendor management
• Think globally, implement locally
• Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor
• Performs other duties as assigned

SUPERVISION:
Reporting to the Vice President, Strategy & Architecture EDUCATION:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Minimum of 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 related experience with a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree; or a Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree with 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience; or a PhD with 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, expectation management and training skills, consistently meeting the specific needs of various client groups, project teams, and target audiences.
• 8 years experience serving in a senior architect role
• Minimum 4 years of experience with a major cloud vendor (AWS, Azure, or GCP), certification a plus
• Minimum 3 years of experience architecting solutions in regulated environments
• At least 3 years of hands on experience developing microservices, leveraging containers and modern DevOps technologies
• At least 3 years of direct experience leveraging technologies such as Kafka, Serverless and other modern application architectures
• Proficiency in agile methodology
• Experience communicating to senior business leadership
• Experience in healthcare industry preferred, but not required
• Ability to self start and effectively operate within a complex, dynamic environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross functionally in a matrix management environment.

Must be able to facilitate meetings to resolve issues/problems with a win/win result.
