• Manage the relationship of a selected portfolio of vendors that support WPB - Vendor management
• Responsible for providing effective third-party risk and supplier management to ensure that HSBC meets its operational, business, and regulatory requirements in order to mitigate any regulatory breaches, monetary penalties and to avoid any damage to shareholder value and reputation/brand image.
• The role holder is also responsible for driving business performance through effective management of vendor Service Level Agreements
• Responsible for operational practices, whilst seeking out opportunities to enhance the business relationship and performance

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Proven track record in Managing External suppliers, preferably in a financial service environment. Record of being able improve performance of external suppliers. Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles.
• Proven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions.
• Highly developed communication and influencing skills. Ability to prioritize and work independently under pressure within a cross-functional team environment to accomplish objectives.Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment. Demonstrable experience of managing operational risk within appetite during operational change and reorganization
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships and expectations. High proficiency in JIRA/Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Respectful of different cultures, and experience of working with colleagues from across the globe as part of a global team
• Understand and manage the risks associated with the engagement(s).
• Identify and track any control deficiencies and performance issues with timely follow up with the Third Party. Action plans are in place to remediate, including escalation to Risk Owner where appropriate.Ensure all data submitted to Archer (in the fields TPEMs can edit is correct to ensure this information is accurate, the risks are managed and reported on appropriately).
• Ensure understanding of the TPEM role and responsibilities and keep knowledge up to date. While seek help where required through the support channels available
• Along with the above, manage assigned Third Party engagements effectively to ensure all risk activities (including tasks and metrics) are undertaken accurately and on time with any deficiencies escalated as appropriate; to ensure compliance with the Third-Party Risk Policy and Framework.
