To develop and electronically author Service information procedures for Technology products and Engines to be delivered via the service information system (SIS) to Caterpillar dealers and customers worldwide. Job Duties Service information Developer-1 (SID-1) utilize the ACM to develop and electronically author a variety of service information types used to operate, maintain and repair Caterpillar Engines and/or Machines. Service information products that are produced by SIDs have significant impact on efficiency and profitability of dealer service operations. Service Information Developers Should Have Good knowledge of Caterpillar Service Information Development process, tools Complete understanding of NPI/CPI/PDT/Revision process Ability to work independently with product Groups to meet demands Understanding of service technician and field requirements Service Information Developers will have continuous interaction with Project leaders, Product design support Engineers and the use of a variety of corporate systems and resources. Qualifications Engineering degree in Mechanical engineering with 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience. Background / Experience People with very good written and oral language skills in English who can collaborate globally. Experience in development of technical documents Service manual / Operation and Maintenance Manual, Rebuild manual, etc. Good knowledge in products like engines, different technologies used in earth moving, construction and mining machines. Good knowledge and understanding of tools that are required to check / adjust / rebuild the mentioned products. Self driven, able to be complete the task given with less supervision Service engineers for engines, machines, automobiles, heavy earth moving machines.
