Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and technically adept individual to join our team as a Service Engineer specializing in electric vehicles. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related fields who are eager to kick-start their career in the EV industry. As a Service Engineer, you will receive comprehensive training and hands-on experience in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing electric vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Technical Knowledge:

• Understanding of electric vehicle systems, including battery packs, motors, inverters, and charging systems.
• Basic knowledge of automotive diagnostics tools and software used for troubleshooting EV components.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and standards specific to electric vehicles.
• Learn to provide technical assistance and guidance to customers and service technicians.

2. Maintenance and Repair:

• Basic hands-on skills in performing routine maintenance tasks on electric vehicles, such as tire rotations, fluid checks, and brake inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of all service and repair activities.

3. Diagnostic Abilities:

• Ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot issues with electric vehicle components, including battery systems, motors, controllers, and charging systems.
• Learn and apply diagnostic techniques for electric vehicle systems, including battery systems, motors, controllers, and charging systems.
• Gain proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for vehicle maintenance and repair.

4. Technical Documentation:

• Willingness to learn in documenting service and repair activities accurately and comprehensively, including logging diagnostic results, repairs performed, and parts used.

5. Quality Assurance:

• Understanding of quality control processes to ensure that all service and maintenance tasks meet industry standards and manufacturer specifications.

6. Safety Compliance:

• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures specific to working with electric vehicles, including handling high-voltage components and ensuring workplace safety.
• Participate in vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.

7. Inventory Management:

• Basic skills in managing inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring availability for service and repair tasks as needed.

8. Customer Interaction:

• Ability to interact professionally with customers, providing updates on service progress, explaining technical issues, and addressing any concerns or questions.

9. Teamwork and Collaboration:

• Willingness to work collaboratively with senior engineers, technicians, other team members.
• Support staff to resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide support during service operations and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Contribution to team goals and sharing knowledge gained through training and experience.
• Assist senior engineers in performing routine maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, wheel alignments, and fluid checks.

10. Adaptability and Flexibility:

• Ability to adapt to varying work conditions and schedules, responding promptly to changing priorities and customer demands.

11. Time Management:

• Effective organization and prioritization of tasks to meet service deadlines and customer expectations, optimizing efficiency in service operations.

Key Requirements:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• Strong interest in electric vehicles and sustainable transportation technologies.
• Basic knowledge & understanding of automotive vehicle systems and components.
• Good problem-solving skills with a logical and analytical approach to troubleshooting and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with team members and customers.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to demonstrate adaptability and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on EV technology advancements and industry trends through continuous learning and training opportunities.
• Willingness to travel (up to 50% of the time).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internships, projects, or coursework related to electric vehicles or automotive engineering.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and software used in vehicle maintenance.
• Familiarity with electric vehicle charging infrastructure and standards.
• Understanding of safety protocols and procedures specific to electric vehicles
