Role Overview: A Field Service Engineer playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of DG sets at customer sites. His responsibilities will include perfect I&C, technical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and customer support to handle dg sets up to 1500 KVA. He\xe2\x80\x99ll be the face of our company, representing our commitment to quality service. Responsibilities: On-Site Service: Perform on-site visits to customer locations (such as industrial plants, hospitals, commercial buildings, and residential complexes) to address DG set related support/ issues promptly. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose technical problems, identify faults, and carry out necessary repairs to restore DG set functionality. Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections, to prevent breakdowns. Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to emergency service requests, ensuring minimal downtime for DG sets. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers professionally, addressing their concerns, explaining maintenance procedures, and providing technical advice. Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, spare parts used, and time spent on each task. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during service visits. Training: Train customers on basic DG set operation and maintenance practices. Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams (such as sales, plants, logistics, and technical support) to ensure seamless service delivery. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on DG set technology advancements and industry trends. Qualifications and Skills: Education: ITI/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 7-15 years of experience in field service, preferably in the power industry or DG set maintenance. Technical Competence: Familiarity with DG set components, control panels, engines, and alternators. Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues. Knowledge of safety protocols related to working with generators. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers. Customer Focus : Customer-centric approach with a commitment to resolving issues promptly. Ability to establish strong customer relationships. Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other departments.
