We are always moving forward - always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.The RoleVMWAREL3Key responsibilities:Planning, Migration, Installation, Configuration, Administration and Troubleshooting of ESXCreating Clusters and configuring HA, DRS based on the requirementConfiguring Resource Pool, V Motion, svmotion, Alarms and NTPMigrate Physical Servers to Virtual Server using VMware Converter (P2V Converter)Performing Snapshots, Cloning, Cold Migrations and Hot MigrationsCreation of Virtual Switches and dVswitchs, Ports and Port groups and setting up Layer 2 Security Policies for Virtual Networks.Converting P2V and V2V using VMware Standalone Converter.Troubleshooting issues relating to v-motion and svmotion such as compatibility issues with help of event logCreating and Managing Virtual Machines and TemplatesCreating Templates from VMs, deploy VMs from templates and allocate resourcesSetting up Users and Groups for access to the Virtual CenterRoot Cause & System Log Analysis and reportingPeriodical patching of ESX serversUpgrading of hosts from lower version to ESXiCapacity Planning for disk expansion, CPU addition, Memory upgrade etcUpgrading of server hardware BIOS, IMM/ILO firmware, UEFI, Storage firmware, NIC, Server support pack and driversWorking on service request, change & problem management as per customer requirement and also process requirement.Preparing SOP document for newly assigned tasks and projectsWorking on business critical issues and fixing the same by ensuring minimum downtimeBuilt new esxi host /VM for upcoming projectvSAN implementation and Datastore provision for VM DeploymentConfigure and optimize the virtual infrastructureMonitor virtualization infrastructure and provide advice on capacity requirementsProvide security compliance under relevant security policiesLiaise on virtualization configuration with the storage systems manager and system administratorsProactively managing the environment to prevent incidents from occurringProactively identify inefficiencies in operations with the objective of improving the quality of the working environment Requirements:Experience and demonstrated skills in systems administration which includes; 24x7 operations, Virtualization environments (VMware) across multiple VMWare ESX environments, and Multiple data centersIn depth knowledge in Windows Servers All versionManage & Maintain VMware infrastructureIn depth knowledge in AD, FTP, SFTP, IIS, NPS, DNS, DHCP and file servicesResponsible for troubleshooting OS & server hardware related issues by co-ordinating with Datacentre engineers.Responsible for building & hardening windows serversAnalyse server logs & provide root cause analysis during Major incidentsManage & maintain permissions on File servers & NAS sharesConfigure resource pools and folders to set up mappings on SRMKey Skills/ Knowledge: (Required)Install, configure and maintain VMware ESXi & vCenter servers of versionTroubleshooting and RCA of VMware infrastructure.Performance analysis and tuning of VMware infrastructure.Creation, migration, cloning, snapshots, backup, recovery and troubleshooting of Virtual machinesExperience in P2V, VMotion and VMware virtual center.Good hands on command line of ESX.Good hands on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment.Good understanding of HA and DRS environment.Experience in performance tuning of VMWare servers and Virtual sessions and management of servers\' resources between virtual machines.vSAN / vSwitch / SRM / Storage / BackupWho You Are Youre good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. Required Technical and Professional Experience Deep expertise within specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) Enterprise IT application experience Hands-on experience in at least one of the following: software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture in public cloud AWS domain In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems Must have experience driving for engineering solutions and working across teams Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce conclusions and responses. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written Strong process improvement experience Preferred Technical and Professional Experience In depth knowledge of Amazon cloud hosting architecture with experience with AWS and Azure is a bonus Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities Familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailBeing YouDiversity is a whole lot more than what we look like or where we come from, its how we think and who we are.
