We are looking for an experienced SEO specialist with a good mix of technical and content skills to join our Product team within Digital and Events business unit, with responsibility for SEO across all our digital assets.

You\'ll be responsible for optimising our organic search, as a technical and content SEO expert to increase the number of visitors to our flagship websites, obtaining a high-ranking placement in the search results pages. Ensuring that we are targeting our priority customer groups with the right intent and connecting them to relevant content and assets on our websites.

We\'re looking for someone who is able to implement an SEO strategy for our websites and deliver against it. Organic search is our most important source of traffic today, and we want to continue to build on this position as we focus on prioritising the attraction of certain customer groups. This role is responsible for growing relevant, engaged user base who convert to handraisers on our sites.

The Requirements:

  • Developing technical and content search engine optimisation strategies that attract priority customer groups - both candidates and Higher Education community audiences. Increasing the volume of relevant engaged users from search engine results, leading to improved onsite conversion
  • Defining and tracking key metrics on a daily basis to monitor performance and determine actions, including presenting results to stakeholders and using data to support recommendations
  • Maintenance and site audits to test, optimise and improve our technical SEO performance, acting as the champion for changes needed across our sites and managing these through with our tech teams
  • Supporting website growth, as we expand our content offering in both English and local languages
  • Lead on keyword strategy, through opportunity and gap analysis and close collaboration with our content and marketing teams to optimize existing and new content through SEO both on our sites and landing pages
  • Working with Editorial teams to drive SEO in content creation
  • Updating meta content and website links for maximum optimisation and search engine rankings
  • Recommending changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
  • Monitoring and making and implementing recommendations based on competitor analysis
  • Remain on top of the latest trends, to ensure we are prepared for any changes in algorithms and any site changes
  • Researching and implementing search engine optimisation recommendations that deliver commercial value
  • Working closely with the Technology teams to ensure technical SEO best practices are properly implemented
  • Working closely with Conversion Optimisation channel to ensure SEO requirements are considered in each experiment
  • Ensure the sites and products follow SEO best practice
About You
  • You have experience working in both technical and content SEO domains
  • You have a track record of growing user acquisition through growing traffic
  • You have a good understanding of other marketing acquisition channels
  • You have experience in managing complex SEO projects (site migrations; launch of new sites; crawl optimisation etc.)
  • You are methodical in your approach and have an execution-driven mindset
  • You have a deep understanding of SEO tools such as SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search console, Moz etc)
  • You prioritise effectively, take ownership, and get things done
  • You have experience in presenting SEO strategy and results to various stakeholders across all levels of an organisation
  • You work well individually and within a team
  • You are able to conduct keyword research in a foreign languages
