Mission The mission of the SEO Assistant is to action and implement digital content that elevates our long-term SEO and content strategies. The SEO Assistant will work with leading ecommerce brands to bolster the growth and development of the clients digital channels. Our ideal candidate will hit the ground running, with a strong understanding of digital content trends, experience delivering a range of written content and a keen desire to learn. Reporting to the SEO Manager, you will be a key player in the SEO team and work closely with members of the broader Digital Agency team and Marketplaces team. Key Outcomes
Client Management 1. Effectively support the content team in responding to client queries. 2. Execute all client deliverables and communications in line with Pattern best practices and training 3. Escalate client problems or issues with line managers in advance of them arising, or as soon as these occur Subject Matter Expertise
1. Effectively support the SEO team with the production of technical and content deliverables. a. Provide metadata recommendations based on optimal keyword selection b. Conduct Keyword Research & Keyword Mapping, c. Develop content briefs that are not only SEO-driven but can be leveraged through social channels d. Keep up to date on new developments in SEO, actively researching, testing and proposing new approaches to improving search engine rankings 2. Become proficient and confident in Google Analytics and Data Studio to effectively understand and report on content performance. Sales 1. Support your Line Manager in developing content proposals for new business opportunities 2. Grow existing client engagements by identifying opportunity areas and selling-in to clients Amazon 1. Optimise Amazon ASINS for a variety of Amazon product listings 2. Support Brand Managers from the Marketplace team on various Amazon listing optimisation tasks 3. Conduct Amazon keyword research, backend, and front-end optimisation Marketing 1. Assist with the optimisation of the Pattern site. Ensuring content elements are in line with industry best practice. 2. Attend webinars and networking events where necessary. Skills and qualifications
Have at least 1 years experience in a similar role with a proven track record of creating high quality content for the digital environment
This role would benefit a recent graduate qualified in marketing, journalism, design or communications with a keen interest in digital and ecommerce
Applicants must be permitted to work permanently in Australia with no restriction on hours (e.g., citizen, permanent resident)
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written,
First-class ability to prioritise and manage own workload
Strong presentation and communication skills
Demonstrable use of adapting to different brand tone of voice in different contexts
Highly proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Having previous experience working with ecommerce clients would be highly regarded
Being familiar with SEO copywriting best practice standards would be highly regarded
