JOB DESCRIPTION Organizational Position: Senior/Lead Engineer- IIoT will report functionally to Technical Leader - Test Automation leader at Emerson Innovation Center- Pune. To help accelerate the availability and maturity of IIoT solutions. This role will be responsible for evaluating end devices and solutions. Duties will include the development, maintenance, and execution of a system. The role will also include ideation and prototyping of solutions using popular IIoT platforms. Responsibilities: Understand Project / Work Scope, plan and deliver quality output / deliverables to meet the expected schedule and timeline Understanding IoT Project Requirements from Requirement Specification Document. Ideation and prototyping of mostly LPWAN-based but not limited IoT solutions for various market verticals by integrating IoT end devices to popular IoT software platforms Execution interoperability tests and analysis of the end device\'s compliance with the different protocol Troubleshooting device communication issues related to customer software and hardware Writing summary reports of test results and communicating, Creating and maintaining defect reports Enhance and confirm Specification Document form IT perspective with respect to product and project guidelines Periodic Interaction with IIoT Engineering Managers through Verbal & Written Communication Closely coordinate with other departments and stakeholders Skill Requirements: Bachelor\'s in Engineering Programming/ IT/ CS/ Electronics/Instrumentation or relevant discipline. Minimum 5-8 years of experience in programming and S/W development Familiarity with common Linux (Must) and Windows operating systems and general commands Requested software knowledge: Programming language: JavaScript (3+ years) Node.js (2+ years) Understanding of npm and how packaged are published, updated and installed TypeScript (appreciated) Protocols: MQTT OPC-UA Companion specifications HTTP REST and how APIs are used and build Software Tools Node-RED (basic) Grafana (basic) Database SQL (advanced) InfluxDB (appreciated) Docker (advanced) Kubernetes (basic+) Helm-Charts (appreciated) Git (advanced) Gitlab (appreciated) CI/CD (advanced) Cloud e.g. Azure or AWS (basic) Networking IP Networks Reverse Proxy Wireshark (appreciated) Architecture Microservice (basic+) Object-orient Programming OOP (advanced) Bash scripting (basic+) Security Understanding about SSL/TLS, encryption, signing, hashing Linux (advanced) Agile Methodology SCRUM (basic+) Pair Programming Machine Learning (appreciated) Solid understanding of software development fundamentals Willingness & motivation to improve IIoT relevant IT/technological skills Strong understanding of data networking and security concepts Quality Assurance background is a plus IT background with a focus on network troubleshooting is a plus Conversant with MS Office Software tools such Word, Excel & Power Point.
