• Thought leadership, market management, championing advocacy, and business profiling of DCC markets
• Product strategy including prioritisation of development and investment spends, and review of existing products, data and digital solutions.
• All aspects of Direct Custody and Clearing (DCC) product for the assigned sites \xe2\x80\x93 India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mauritius
• Identification and delivery of new revenue opportunities and client solutions, conceptualisation & preparation of business cases, securing requisite approvals, and all aspects related to new product launches / enhancement to existing products.
• Developing the strategic roadmap for the business working closely with the various stakeholders

Role Outcomes :

• Proactive monitoring of market changes, regulatory announcements, and capital market developments proactively; identification of business opportunities / threats and effective communication of the same to relevant stakeholders.
• Strong relationship with senior management at the regulators \xe2\x80\x93 RBI, SEBI, depositories, exchanges and be able to showcase HSBC as a thought leader through quality inputs on advocacy initiatives on behalf of HSBC and our clients.
• Business product suite meets the clients\xe2\x80\x99 demands and is competitive in the market and upcoming revenue opportunities are appropriately tapped in a timely manner.
• Trusted relationships with cross-functional teams including sales and business development, client servicing, technology, operations, and Global functions.
• Institution and maintenance of adequate mechanism and processes to adhere to product approval conditions.
• Understating and documentation of pertinent risk elements including credit risk, clearing counterparty risk, liabilities in case of defaults along with risk mitigation measures; such issues are highlighted at appropriate management level for awareness.
• Enhanced business profiling through publication of thematic articles in local / international journals and HSBC Thought leadership activities.

Technical Capabilities

• Strong understanding of capital markets, Securities Services business / products and regulatory frameworks
• Ability to navigate complex and everchanging regulatory landscape and design for the future.
• Understanding of business opportunities, clients\xe2\x80\x99 needs, operating environment, and associated risk
• Self-motivated, driven with an ability to independently manage and deliver high quality outcomes

• Strong subject matter expertise, ability to find solutions and to multi-task well under pressure and times of ambiguity.
• Ability to respectfully challenge the stakeholders across GBM and relevant Global Functions, maintaining a balance between risk reward / commercial benefit.

RequirementsQualification:

• Minimum 15 years of post-qualification work experience in financial services industry
• Experience in securities services industry is a requirement
• Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and clearly.
• Proven ability to manage effective relationships internal and external stakeholders

Additional Information

• Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
