Sr. Vice President The Candidate for the Post of Vice President (VP) of construction management operations shall be In- charge of not only day-to-day operations, but also the financial well-being of the various projects under his supervision. He shall be In charge of hiring project managers, writing contracts, and helping design construction plans. The Candidate shall serve in a hands-on role in nearly every aspect of construction management; not only will he be responsible for hiring and supervising the project management team, but shall also in charge of creating and managing budgets. The ideal candidate for this position would need to have an extensive knowledge of how a basic construction site works, as well as a general understanding of the real estate industry. The Vice President of construction management operations helps write up contracts, put together designs, and work directly with clients to ensure projects meet their expectations. Vice president Candidate must have a minimum of 20 years construction experience and atleast 3 years in a similar role, as well as a bachelors degree in Engineering. Proven leadership or supervisory skills are a must. With new technologies emerging every day, the Vice President Candidate needs to have a thorough understanding of emerging relevant technology. Leadership skills and proficiency with basic computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite are needed as well. The Vice Presidents shall also oversee specific areas of the company, such as operations, finance, & human resources. His key responsibilities include representing the company in the community, developing strategies for growth, and planning for the future. The Candidate needs to be outstanding leaders and should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Typical Duties and Responsibilities Represent the company at meetings and conferences Deliver speeches and presentations about the company Develop strategic plans for growth Meet and work closely with other executives Negotiate contracts and agreements Analyze reports and financial statements Hire managers and department heads Offer ideas to improve performance Education and Background The Candidate for Vice President of Construction & Operations need to have a Degree of Engineering in Civil. Extensive experience in the construction industry, in a variety of roles, give the job candidates an edge. Employer shall also prefer that applicants have certifications, although they are not required.
