Description Senior UX Designer, Logitech Software Primary Location: Chennai Target Hire Date: Before end Q3 FY24 The Role Logitech is looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our consumer facing software design team. The role is based in Chennai and focuses on UX and interaction design for our consumer facing software platforms - Ghub and Options Plus. Our software enables the configuration of our hardware devices, it also defines relationships between devices to form systems, in which the relationships and behaviours can be complex. The role of UX Designers in this context is not only to define the functionality of our software and its relationship with our hardware but to manage the complexity in ways that allow all people to pursue their passions with clarity and simplicity. To be successful in this role, applicants must have expertise in interaction design and an obsessive eye for detail. A good understanding of practical methodology for research and insight development, and an ability to advocate for these in a fast-paced environment where strong opinions may be held. You must be able to articulate and advocate for your design choices, and have the skills necessary to bring others along, and grow your influence. A portfolio to evidence this experience will be required. Key Responsibilities Craft user-oriented solutions for our consumer facing software platforms Produce user journeys, flows, and experience blueprints Deliver production-ready software experiences and features for our hardware devices Understand and apply a broad variety of design concepts, practices and procedures, to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. Contribute to the ongoing development of our software design systems Articulate and advocate for your design solutions Advocate for appropriate levels and types of user research Maintain a consistent focus on user needs and outcomes Requirements: Expert user interaction design skills Expert visual design skills, able to execute to a high standard and precision Ability to build influence through trusted relationships. You will need to persuade others, often at senior levels, to adopt your point of view. Ability to make design work in the context of agile development processes Experience of working in agile - and everything that implies - is an advantage A strong portfolio of work to evidence your experience Who you are You are an experienced UX Designer with growing expertise in interaction design, and visual design. You understand and apply a broad variety of design concepts, practices and procedures, and can resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. You demonstrate good judgement and use your expertise in selecting methods for developing solutions. You are able to work independently with a minimum amount of direction. You are determined in your efforts to achieve team goals and remove barriers to effective collaboration. You communicate proactively and effectively and are invested in sharing your design knowledge with others.
