Role Description: Senior Test Engineer The ideal candidate helps in building test plans, test suites, and manual or automated test cases for assigned changes. Their job is to create the initial test designs, write the scripts, install the testing protocols, and report the results. Role and responsibilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Building test plans, test suites, and manual or automated test cases for assigned changes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Building up environments independently to test assigned work. \xe2\x80\xa2 Test strategies that ensure comprehensive, pragmatic, and scalable testing approaches. \xe2\x80\xa2 Executing manual and automated tests. \xe2\x80\xa2 Reporting the results. \xe2\x80\xa2 Create accurate, thoughtful and comprehensive defect reports. \xe2\x80\xa2 Investigate customer problems referred by technical support. \xe2\x80\xa2 Engage and participate on an Agile team of a world-class software developers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Desire to work in an agile team that strives to be great, is politely self-critical, and continuously improves. \xe2\x80\xa2 Apply independence and creativity to problem solving across project assignments. \xe2\x80\xa2 Effectively communicate with team members, project managers and clients, as required. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to interface well with externally facing departments and directly with customers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Effective working in a lightly structured environment, taking responsibility to helping to define requirements, rapidly prototype ideas and define multiple implementation options. Technical skills requirements The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in, \xe2\x80\xa2 Performance testing (e.g. Jmeter, Loadrunner, Dynatrace etc.). \xe2\x80\xa2 Manual & automation test cases for end to end testing of various with little guidance and rework. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to write code using python for both backend (using REST/API) and UI testing. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to development of frameworks (Pytest, Robot etc.) \xe2\x80\xa2 You must have test experience on Linux and UNIX VM environments. \xe2\x80\xa2 Must have experience in distributed system testing. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to build continuous integration/continuous delivery services to internal engineering teams. Setup and optimize Continuous Integration build jobs using Jenkins. \xe2\x80\xa2 Must have knowledge of Docker/ Kubernetes, AWS/SaaS environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Execution of process engineering and operational improvement initiatives for automation tooling focused on cloud \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of python IDE\'s (Pycharm, Pydev etc.) will be helpful. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in creating test strategies that ensure comprehensive, pragmatic, and scalable testing approaches. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience designing and debugging tests that measure performance and functionality under scale and load. \xe2\x80\xa2 Flexible to work in both development and automation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to write utility script using Python programming language. Nice-to-have skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in Enterprise Cyber Security domain. \xe2\x80\xa2 Having Splunk knowledge will be an added advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with continuous integration products like Team City, git and Jenkins. \xe2\x80\xa2 Acquaintance with agile methodology \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with various professional tools like Verson1, Confluence, JIRA etc. Qualifications \xe2\x80\xa2 3 to 5 years of work experience in systems or application development \xe2\x80\xa2 B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university.
