• Hierarchically to Head Engineering / Engineering Managers

Mission


• Test qualification of New Product being developed and components for Industrial Air Products at Chakan product Company.
• Qualification of components and products in line with released plan to have innovative, modular, & cost efficient platforms to make them reliable and high performing for the application it's designed for, within targeted budget, performances & deadlines, using Lean principals.

Targets 2024- 2027


• to support lead the projects defined on PSM, striving for best performance by having the performance verifications in line with Qualification plan.
• Test and keep the product portfolio effective inline with local and international legal requirements (Noise and Vibration), get all the products approved through 3rd Party as required by the defined timelines.
• To support Engineering and functional teams for qualification of new component and machines in defined timelines as per defined projects.

Main responsibilities




• Drive a Quality Pro-active Test qualification process
• You will be responsible to organize build-up and test of machines, components and systems by lab technicians.
• To keep the product portfolio in line with legal requirements and coordinate for the test needs to be conducted as per time lines ( Noise and Vibrations)
• Analyse the test results and suggest solutions, improvements and alternatives for better performance of the product
• Testing of parts and prototype machines and the continuous improvement of quality, safety and reliability of the products within the valid standards and Master Specifications


+ It will be your role to evaluate the user-friendliness and safety of new designs as a user. ( Perform Safety review)
• Test "first time right" by proactive testing, i.e. testing with the aim to find solutions for potential problems.


+ suggesting solutions/ alternatives/ improvements for the design
+ Evaluating machines from and in field and/or from production in case the applicable
• Use of design check list in line with division, and improve them by lesson learnt.
• + Managing the test results in a systematic way and reporting the test results in a predefined formats
+ Managing and planning efficiently the lab infrastructure
+ Continuous updating and/or renewing the test procedures
• Ensure a safe working environment in the prototype area and lab, follow strictly LMRA

To maintain all the measuring instruments & test equipment in good working condition & to ensure that they are calibrated as per the procedure of calibration
• To build the functional prototypes & to collect all comments & report to Project Engineer

• On-Time Delivery, by a Best in class Project Management
• Use of project management tools MSP, for tracking and follow-up on test and Qualification tasks with engineering mangers.
• Define the needed qualification tasks to complete the project on time in full
• Estimate the time task and resource needs
• Follow the execution, and compensate for deviation
• Ensure a Time-To-Market always shorter, ahead of competition.

• Formalize the Design Knowledge Base of the company, using Visual concept
• Map the technical knowledge & lessons learnt
• Collect Best practices from other PCs
• Create a Time-To-Technology environment.
• Contribute to the feasibility study of new project ideas.
• Understand how to contribute to the customer sustainability, reduced air consumption with better penetration for the tools.

Lead the Team of Technicians


• Guide and motivate Technicians to give their best
• Make monthly reports (on-time & pertinent) to communicate on trends & on commitment status.
• Optimize the Planning of employee tasks & use Visual Management principals
• Adjust the workload by employee, and anticipate up-down capacity needs.
• Motivate the Employee to have a good team spirit, taking challenges, generating ideas for improvements & innovation, to be open for quick implementation of changes.

To succeed, you will need


Experience / Educational requirements


• Effective leader with 5 to 7 years of Testing of machines, preferred motor driven equipment and knowledge of Drives.
• Knowledge of Noise and Vibration is added advantage
• Able to write deep technical test document
• A clear vision and ability to achieve results from action plans deriving from a solid strategic platform
• Fluent in English
• Use of IT tools like CAD, ERP (BPCS), MS-Excel, MS-Project, SharePoint
• Lean Engineering concept knowledge
