J ob Specifications: The Research technology and innovation team at ECC Bangalore, Thales India is looking for a Senior Technical Lead/PrincipalEngineer who will be working with the team towards optimized microprocessor developments using various architectures compliant with RISC-V specification. The role looks for someone who can coach the team on a daily basis in the topics of FPGA and RTL design and optimization. The role seeks passion in conducting independent research as well, who can look into state-of-the-art methodologies and perform competitive assessment in order to arrive at evolutionary system architectures. Essential requirements: Master with 12-18 years / PhD with 8-10 years of relevant experience on FPGA and micro-architecture analysis and optimization. Knowledge of Computer architecture especially pipelined processors and cache organization. Experience in working with embedded micro-processors with understanding of hardware interfaces to software. Capacity of conducting independent design reviews Experience in working with small to medium sized teams having multi-disciplinary skills 6. Have coached any team member towards successful developments on FPGA and digital logic design. Desirable qualification (any two of the below): Knowledge of basic RISC-V ISA and familiarity with extensions Experience in cache design and coherence Experience with interconnects including AXI specifications Capacity to lead design specifications and perform technical risk assessment Understanding of system development lifecycle and experience in requirements management Knowledge of Git and any project management tool Experience with the open source community or participation in any open source projec At Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
