As a member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to our new generation Flight Management System.Qualifications: Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication or equivalent discipline with 5 to 12 years of relevant experience.Location: Thales India Private Limited, Richmond Town, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560025.Job Responsibilities:You will play major role in development and verification of the various module of FMS and will be involved in the various phases of FMS development. In more details:Have a good understanding of complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for FMS software systems.Code development from software requirements as perDO178B/C standardsDemonstrate the technical capabilities in software projects.Perform Peer reviewsDebugging and bug fixing and resolving complex problems by using Tests Benches simulating aircraft cockpits.Perform regression, unit and integration testingEnsure quality deliveries before hand-off to Quality Assurance teams for further testing and verification.Participate in an AGILE team involved in the development phases by respecting deadlines and contractual milestones.Apply and comply with the configuration management processContribute to the management of requirements (DOORS implementation, traceability\xe2\x80\xa6)Contribute in the development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.Provide new product/lean-process ideas and contribute to deploy them.Minimum Skills/Experience:Should have 5 to 12 years of overall engineering experiences in software development, systems architecture of Avionics embedded system.Good experience in SDLC, OOPS concepts & DO178B/C avionics standard are mustCandidate should have be Strong programming skills using C++ / ADA95/2012 & hands on experience in Development, Verification and Validation.Good knowledge / experience of Flight Management System is required.Knowledge in configuration management tools like doors, clear case, Clear Quest is required.Quick learner in enhancing new skills based on customer needs.A pro-active and hands-on individual who is driven by the desire to succeed with a good relationship.Support Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs), and defect preventionCandidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, effective communicator, strong analytical and creative problem solving skills and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.Individual should be skilled, highly professional engineer, work collaboratively with an international team comprising software development, product management/development.Travel domestically and internationally, as requiredGood understanding Aircraft Performance , Navigation Databases,Flight Planning and dispatch solutions, EFB applications and ARINC standardsKnowledgeable about airline flight operations and piloting proceduresAt Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
