Role Profile Role title: Senior Technical Specialist- Application Support Colt Level: P1 core/Advanced Function: Technology & Security Reports to: Abhishek Arora Location: Gurgaon/Bangalore, India Role purpose This is a P1 Advanced role as Senior Technical Specialist in Application support managing operations of key applications of colt. This role focusses and is responsible end-to-end for management of technologies and resources for multiple applications in colt collaborating with support vendors and working closely with business teams to fulfil their expectations. This role has complete responsibility for delivery of all operational objectives, plans and policies IT application support for the entire organisation sub-function/division under Technology & Security Function Group. This role requires detailed knowledge and high experience of managing specific IT Applications technical areas and also strong understanding of Colt\'s critical operational platforms such as Novitas, SDWAN, SAP, BI, MyHR, etc in other business functions as Network Operations, Service Delivery, On-Demand, Finance, HR, etc. This role will required to deal with complex business and technical issues on day to day basis. As part of the ongoing Colt\'s IT transformation programs, IT systems rationalizations, (viz. Network Capacity Management portal development, Siebel-NC interface dev work etc.), strategic developments, data migration, support related activities have increased substantially. This role intends to bridge the current skill gap by increasing Colt\'s strength to build technology products, dashboards, perform key transformations involving core IT systems development/design knowledge and support operations. The role would also help build dashboards, interfaces, COTS applications enhancements etc. using key development skills viz. Full stack development in both client and server side programing like Server Side: Java J2EE, Spring boot, Spring Batch, REST, SOAP API\'s Web-services, Front-end development in JQuery, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Bootstrap, Databases -Oracle, PL,SQLJava,J2EE, JAX-WS, Oracle PL/SQL, Web-services and design frameworks. The role mandates working in collaborative, multi-cultural environment to engage and deliver value across desperate geographic locations. Key accountabilities Regular engagement with business stakeholders understanding their requirements and ensuring services are delivered meeting their expectations. Providing the technical guidance to Application support vendor ensuring they deliver quality service and meet the colt standards. Close alignment with development and Infrastructure teams to resolve development and infra issues and fix application problems Should have hands-on IT development knowledge, configuration, scripting and good trouble shooting skills. Should have strong experience in developing web applications and integrations with other IT systems Should be well-versed with development, design best practices. Telecommunication domain knowledge is preferable with hands-on working knowledge of additional COTS applications, middleware technologies. Good interpersonal skills to work in collaborative, multi-cultural environment and is able to provide technical direction to solutions and implementations. Build reusable IT assets and mentoring junior resources. Quickly learn and deploy solution using latest technologies, best practises and industry solutions. Willing to work in various SDLC methodologies - Agile, Waterfall, DevOps etc. and project specific shifts. Lead the entire development for medium to large scale projects driving complete technical design and development activities therein. Role specific requirements Skills & Experience Should be well-versed with IT systems development, design best practices.
