You will be working as Senior TCMS Design Engineer and will be part of Motion for Traction division based out at Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and will be primarily responsible for creating, modifying and analyzing the design of equipment, systems or installations including specifications for manufacturing, fabrication or construction on assignments of medium to high complexity using established solutions. Your responsibilities Supporting projects on technical or process issues, performing design validation and verification activities on functions and TC&IS sub-system (TCMS / VCU SW) on the project assigned Providing input and recommending changes to new and existing product designs. Recommending improvements in all areas related to standards and products Travelling (20 to 35%) to provide technical support for TCMS commissioning, depending on the needs of the project executing engineering activities of one of the Train Control and Information Solutions (TC&IS) domain: proto validation & test Developing competencies required for this domain, following the right methodologies and tools. Ensuring the application of the standard processes in his domain Designing products taking into account project requirements (performances, manufacturability, serviceability and testability) Analyzing change request impacts on assigned zone and applying change if request accepted Your background Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Electrical / Electronic engineering from a reputed university Minimum 2 to 7 years of related work experience in TCMS - Train control and Management System design Experience in at least 2 to 3 years TCMS subsystems (HVAC, Door, Brake control, PIS etc.) and knowledge of functional safety requirements applied in rail transportation (EN50126, EN50657) Programming experiences preferably in C, C++, C#, Java, python and IEC 61131-3 (PLC, SCADA and industrial automation knowledge) Excellent application knowledge of three-phase electric locomotives, EMUs, metros, propulsion converters, auxiliary converters, and communication standards according to IEC 61375 (CAN, MVB, WTB, TRDP) More about us ABB Traction is a leader in traction technologies, driving innovation in rail and e-mobility.
