About this role

Udemy is seeking a Senior Analyst, Tax in India to become a key member of the India Tax team in areas of income taxes and indirect taxes. Reporting to the India Tax Manager, this hands-on role will be responsible for preparing the monthly, quarterly and annual tax compliances, tax accounting, tax provision and providing tax research support, under the guidance of India Manager. This role will offer the comprehensive opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of tax and make a significant impact at a high growth company.

What you\'ll be doing:

This role will have you assisting in the preparation of:

• Filing of monthly and annual GST return filings
• Monthly TDS payment workings & TDS return filings
• Monthly instructor withholding tax payment workings

You will also assist in:

• miscellaneous tax filings (Equalization Levy, etc.)
• procedural calculations for accounting team
• tax accounting of India-related taxes in NetSuite ERP
• preparation of replies to the Notices issued by various tax authorities
• preparation of working files for Departmental & statutory audits.

You will also be coordinating with Udemy\'s tax consultants related to tax working files and with Udemy\'s US team to get answers to routine tax queries and sharing insights on improving tax and accounting processes.

What you\'ll have:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Commerce (B.Com) with 3+ years of hands-on relevant tax experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and multinational corporate environment
• Advanced Excel & Word skills
• A strong desire to grow in tax knowledge and demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team-based environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail
• Superb communication skills, great attention to detail and ability to work with different cross functional teams in different time zones
• Strong knowledge of India tax compliances and ability to perform and understand tax laws of other countries
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

It\'s highly regarded if you also have:

• CA-Inter qualification
• Working experience on NetSuite ERP
