By delivering scalable and flexible programmatic innovation, we improve outcomes for our customers while championing a vibrant and transparent digital advertising supply chain.Position DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our team in the L4 support capacity. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for CentOS, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, as well as expertise in managing load balancers, DNS systems, network infrastructure, data center expansion, capacity management, depth troubleshooting, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and CDN (Content Delivery Network).Responsibilities:

• Provide L4 support for CentOS, Ubuntu, and Rocky Linux environments, ensuring smooth operation and swift resolution of any issues or outages.
• Manage and troubleshoot load balancers to optimize performance and ensure high availability of services.
• Administer DNS systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization to maintain optimal domain resolution.
• Monitor and maintain the network at the server level to ensure security and reliability.
• Lead data center expansion initiatives, including capacity planning, equipment installation, and infrastructure optimization.
• Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for complex system issues, identifying underlying causes and implementing permanent resolutions.
• Collaborate with CDN providers to optimize content delivery and improve user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Participate in P1/P2 to support for critical systems and infrastructure.
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and knowledge sharing to enhance overall team competency.
• Provide application troubleshooting support when required, working closely with developers to identify and resolve issues.
• Work closely with developers to understand application requirements and provide infrastructure support accordingly.
• Stay updated with new technologies and conduct various Proof of Concepts (POCs) to assess their feasibility and potential integration into existing systems.
• Serve as a bridge between developers and infrastructure teams, facilitating communication and collaboration to ensure seamless deployment and operation of applications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a senior system engineering role, with a focus on L4 support.
• Proficiency in administering CentOS, Ubuntu, and Rocky Linux systems in production environments.
• Strong understanding of load balancer technologies such as Nginx, HAProxy, or F5.
• In-depth knowledge of DNS concepts, including DNSSEC, DNS caching, and DNS load balancing.
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud Technologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE, CCNA, or equivalent are a plus.
