Balances supply and demand over the tactical horizon to achieve optimum product availability, asset utilization and supply chain efficiencies. Plant locations will be in a single region or a number of plants globally.In this role, you will require understanding of key business drivers for your discipline and function. You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to others.
It is your responsibility to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your teamxe2x80x99s work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.Responsibilities:Leads and implements tactical plans across plants, ensuring schedule conformance and driving labor/capacity plans.Develops plans for new item introductions and discontinuations, ensuring product availability and mitigating obsolescence.Determines and executes effective sourcing rules regionally or globally.Ensures strategic and tactical decisions are made with a full understanding of supply chain capabilities, service impacts, costs, and risk management.Manages inventory levels and establishes safety stock targets, aligning supply plans accordingly.Supports Supply Review preparation by reviewing reports/KPIs and ensuring integration with Finance and Accounting.Drives continuous improvement by reviewing and enhancing the distribution network and manufacturing strategies.QualificationsFour or more years of experience in a Supply Chain or Manufacturing environmentUniversity Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or other SciencesAPICS certification preferred, OMP Knowledge is an advantageYour skillsSupply chain management skillsInterpersonal effectiveness,Understanding customer needs.Team work, taking initiativeproblem solving skills, value creationTechnical proficiency in use of computer applications, analytical skills and project management skills.SAP Knowledge is a mustAdditional noteShould be able to work in shifts supporting different time zone.No relocation support provided for this role.Benefits xe2x80x93 What Dow offers youWe invest in you.Dow invests in total rewards programs to help you manage all aspects of you: your pay, your health, your life, your future, and your career.
