The Senior Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for supply chain planning, scheduling activities of II&I Businesses for India subcontinent region. She/he must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Role requires person to be self motivated, Initiative taking, persuasive, assertive as well as collaborative in approach to problem solving.

Strong experience of Supply and demand planning (including exposure to APO/OMP) is desirable. She/he will take part in weekly/monthly meetings with stakeholders and will take appropriate actions to ensure plan is met. Works regularly with Demand Managers (forecast accuracy), Product Management (allocation) and Logistics (ocean freight capacity) to streamline replenishments. Will be responsible for important KPIs of Polyurethanes business i.e. Inventory, Slow movers, Supply Chain Cost to Serve, Productivity and OTD/GIR.

Decides what, when and where to supply for multiple locations (warehouses, manufacturing locations etc), for Polyurethanes business for India Subcontinent region. Balances supply and demand over the operational horizon (including managing monthly S&OP process), to achieve optimum product availability, asset utilization and supply chain efficiencies.

Responsibilities / Duties

• Generates a time-phased supply schedule to fulfil business requirements in the short-term, while considering plant wide constraints, and meeting inventory and customer service targets.
• Determines and/or executes the most effective regional or global sourcing rules.
• Where applicable, implements external manufacturing agreements or executes agreements already in place.
• Owns and operates site or regional planning models (provides functional expertise for model operation; assures most efficient use of information technology).
• Serves as a local site coordinator/planner for integration of internal demand, utilities or environmental operations at a particular location.
• Routinely checks and tracks inventory quantity, slow-moving or other inventory statuses and ensures that inventory volumes meet the plan.
• Identifies, prioritizes and addresses supply issues (e.g. short-term capacity constraints, product shortage, emergency customer order received, uncovered production requirement, etc.)
• Leads collaboration with customer service, manufacturing, logistics, third-party service providers and business partners to meet business obligations in case of unplanned events.
• Ensures proper maintenance of production parameters (material masters, work centres, routings) to ensure effective planning.
• Follows best practices, procedures and governance over master data.
• Supports global supply chain initiatives by interfacing with other supply chain personnel in the business and shared services.

Experience

• 5-10 years of Integrated Supply Chain and/or manufacturing experience
• Master or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (Supply Chain Management, Business, IT, Engineering etc.).
• Supply/Production Planning or Demand Planning or Logistics experience in Polyurethanes business is considered a plus
• Robust knowledge and hands-on experience of Supply Chain processes and ERPs (SAP, APO/OMP) is highly desirable.
• The critical competencies required for success are: interpersonal effectiveness, understanding customer needs, team work, taking initiative, problem solving skills, technical proficiency in use of computer applications and analytical skills.
