The position of Senior Structure Expert - Elevated is the key position in these BIDs. Missions/Main Duties:

• Lead and manage the structural design and analysis of elevated metro systems, including viaducts, stations, foundations, and other related infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
• Develop and review structural design concepts, ensuring the integration of sustainability, efficiency, and safety in the metro system.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, and specifications for the elevated metro infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards, codes of practice, and local regulations.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Conduct and review structural assessments and evaluations for elevated metro projects, including load analysis and risk management.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders such as contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure effective project execution.
• Participate in value engineering exercises and propose innovative solutions to optimize design and construction processes.
• Review and approve technical documents, designs, and drawings related to the elevated metro infrastructure.
• Monitor the construction phase to ensure adherence to structural designs and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve any structural design or construction issues as they arise.

Profile/Skills:

• Graduate in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 20 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in railways or railway related industry after completion of full time Graduation out of that minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in urban rail based passenger carrying system
• Advanced knowledge in quality assurance processes, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Strong understanding of metro-specific systems, including rolling stock, signaling, and track systems.
• Strong decision-making skills for on-the-spot problem resolution.
• Ability to lead diverse teams, including contractors, engineers, and consultants.
• Thorough understanding of metro project regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols.
• Experience in obtaining necessary clearances and approvals from authorities.
