Greetings from Synergy Resource Solutions, a leading recruitment consultancy firm.We have requirement for our client company a 45 year old leading USA based engineering & design firm in field of Designing & Projects Execution of Water Treatment Plants for their engineering center at Ahmedabad Location.Position:Senior Structural Designer (Designation: Senior Designer, Structural). Experience: ~ 10 - 15 yearsStructural Designer (Designation: Designer, Structural). Experience: ~ 5 - 7 yearsLocation: AhmedabadPrimary Job Responsibilities, but not limited to the following -Detailing & drafting of structures for Water Treatment systems involving preassembled skids, modules, pipe racks and platforms.Advanced modeling of structural steel designs using TEKLA or Autodesk Revit, to be integrated with Autodesk Plant 3D design software.Extract structural fabrication drawings from TEKLA / Revit models.Work in coordination with the Piping teams to ensure structural designs are integrated with the overall skid & module designs.Work together with Structural Engineers to detail modular pipe rack designs & integrate them in the plant engineering to minimize site work.Work in collaborative BIM environment to develop plant designs.Prepare detailed rigging and handling studies of assembled structures.Support the Applications group in designing, BOQs and estimating for FEED phases such as FEL-2 and FEL-3.Create consolidated BOQs for the structural steel of the entire plant.Detail out foundation bolt designs for equipment, pipe racks and large structures.Create civil input drawings (when required) to depict foundations and loading information.Site visits as required to assess completeness of structural and civil installation. Troubleshoot at sites as required.QualificationsAssociate or ITI in mechanical engineering.Familiarity with American structural design & Building codes such as AISC, ASCE, welding standards AWS D1.1 & familiarity with ASTM / ASME material grades & standard steel sections. Knowledge of European and Indian sections will be an advantage.Familiarity with the Progressive Design Build methodologies in plant engineering.Knowledge of the deliverables and expectations in Post and Precontract phases of the project.Knowledge of FEL-2 / 3 requirements to generate BOQs & design outputs.Hands on experience with software such as TEKLA, Autodesk products BIM360, AutoCAD 2D, Revit.Excellent communication skills, suitable for supporting our clients global engineering needs.If your profile is matching with this requirements & if you are interested for this job opportunity, then please share your updated resume with details of your present salary, expectations & notice period.
