Boeing India Engineering team is looking for Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. A successful candidate will be working directly with the Sr. Manager - Mechanical Design and other Managers to support the Design, Development and certification activities of different programs being executed out of Boeing India Engineering. Position Responsibilities: Plans and organizes structural analysis work at the program level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and stability requirements. Develops, integrates and documents complex or unique structural requirements to establish the system design. Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product\'s environment. Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by defining requirements for development of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance of the product. Works with customers and regulatory agencies to define certification processes that will ensure requirements are met. Reviews and approves certification results. Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and organizes test programs to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements. Works under consultative direction. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor\'s degree or Master\'s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering 18+ year\'s Experience in a Structural Analysis of Aircraft Structures and Systems in one or more of commodities - Fuselage , Empennage, Wing, Landing Gear ,Doors & Windows, Stress Liaison , Propulsion Structures Well versed in Boeing Structural analysis methods and Tools Hands-on Experience in Boeing Commercial and Commercial Derivative Platforms Knowledge of aircraft structure, materials strengths and properties, design criteria, loading conditions, and processes (e.g. non destructive testing, corrosion prevention) Knowledge of Boeing design, production, and build processesto effectively influence product design. Knowledge of appropriate customer or governmental regulations relevant to design, test, and certification (e.g., Part 25, MILSPEC). Ensure process to adhere to highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and processes to ensure First-time quality Knowledge of the processes and procedures for certification of product, including Federal Aviation Authority [FAA] and foreign regulatory agency (e.g., JAA) requirements. Knowledge of airworthiness standards related to transport aircraft (e.g., FAR part 25). Knowledge of product performance in various situations/conditions. Ability to assess type design data for showing compliance Knowledge of structural repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques). Knowledge of structural repair, overhaul, nondestructive inspection, corrosion control, and composites. Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems Knowledge of engineering tests techniques, including handling qualities, performance, systems testing, structural loads, weapons separation, propulsion, etc. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Excellent collaboration , communication and Presentation skills Develop Technology Roadmap aligned to Business Strategy Develop Capability Roadmap aligned to Business Strategy Coach and Mentor Engineers on Technical development Exercises engineering judgment in developing appropriate decisions considering decision criteria, implications, and possible consequences, to ensure product design integrity. Demonstrates understanding of the applicable scientific and engineering knowledge and involves others in obtaining information for the engineering decision-making process Possess Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data summarize findings develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. Possess Signature Authority - Design Approval Engineer Authority in Structures discipline for minor/major determination Possess Signature Authority -Engineering Unit Member Authority in Structures discipline for finding Compliance of Engineering Designs to Air-worthiness requirements Possess Technical fellowship role or equivalent in Structures Discipline Relocation: This position does relocation.
