Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of stewarding staff.
- Provide training and support to new and existing staff.
- Schedule shifts and assign tasks to ensure adequate coverage.
2. Cleanliness and Sanitation:
- Ensure all kitchen and dining areas are clean and orderly.
- Oversee the cleaning of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations.
3. Inventory and Supplies Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and kitchen equipment.
- Order necessary supplies and manage storage areas.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records.
4. Maintenance and Equipment:
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working condition.
- Arrange for repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules.
5. Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety standards and practices among the stewarding staff.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of kitchen areas.
6. Coordination with Other Departments:
- Collaborate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Assist in special events and functions as required.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to the management team.
