Senior Staff RF Bench Automation EngineerLocation: India Bangalore RF Design CenterAbout RF DivisionA global leader in microcontrollers, analog, power, and SoC products. We provide comprehensive solutions for a broad range of automotive, industrial, home electronics, office automation, and information communication technology applications that help shape a limitless future.RF division comes under the Infrastructure Mixed-Signal Division (IMSD), with a focus on delivering smart products for sub-6 5G base stations, Satellite communication, public safety, microwave backhaul, and military/aerospace applications.Requirements

• A bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in Electronics engineering.
• 5 -6 years of experience in Analog Bench Validation and Characterization.
• A strong understanding of analog circuit fundamentals including concepts like DC power consumption, gain, NF, IIP3, IP1dB, ACPR, EVM, etc.
• Experience in silicon validation of RF blocks like LNAs, PAs, Pre-drivers, VGAs, SPnT, etc.
• Knowledge of bench automation techniques and software like MATLAB, Python, etc.
• Experience in debugging bench setup and writing instrument drivers.
• Experience in understanding datasheets and preparing test plans covering all specifications and characterizing DUT over different temperature and supply corners.
• Deep understanding of lab instruments like power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.
• Knowledge of ESD and instrument maintenance is essential.
• Ability to train junior engineers and data collection techs.

• Knowledge of Python and test automation is a must!
• Knowledge of measurement automation of instruments like VNA, and Spectrum Analyzer is a big plus.
• Knowledge of automated data processing, plotting, and GUI development is highly desired.
• Experience in soldering small SMD components.
• Knowledge of communication protocols like SPI, I2C, I3C, SCPI, etc.
• Understanding of device qualification process including HTOL, HAST etc.
• Knowledge of PCB design.
• Software development tools like Git, and agile methodology is desired.

• Work closely with the design team to analyze the product datasheet and propose a test plan.
• Spearhead bench software development for instrument configuration, data collection, and report generation. Build GUI for the DUT driver. Bring up of bench and DUT and guide junior designers for data collection.
• Show leadership and driver bench software engineer using agile methodology.
• Perform data collection, analysis, and report generation using datasheet format.
• Present characterization report to the team and provide data to the apps team for datasheet.
• Maintain an updated BOM list and provide feedback to fix any EVK issues.
• Support ATE correlation and support the qualification and applications team by providing part samples.
• Lead junior engineers and train them.
