Role Summary
Responsibilities: Lead a team of software engineers in the creation of high-quality software within agreed project deadlines. Act as a mentor for new or lower-level software engineers or developers. Assume a high level of ownership of all work developed by members of the team. Train and integrate new team members and proactively support the continued development of existing team members. Work closely with the DevSecOps team to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using Amazon CDK. Design and develop applications as per the business requirements, using Java with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Function, and various database technologies like Postgres, Oracle DB, Document DBs, NoSQL DBs. Write comprehensive unit and integration tests. Fix vulnerabilities in the code and improve application security. Work with AWS Services like Lambda, S3, RDS, EKS, ECR, Glue, Step Function, etc. Create basic UI using Angular or React. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 10-13 years proven experience as a Lead Software Engineer. Extensive experience in Java development with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Function. Experience with various database technologies like Postgres, Oracle DB, Document DBs, NoSQL DBs. Experience with AWS Services like Lambda, S3, RDS, EKS, ECR, Glue, Step Function, etc. Experience in building infrastructure as code using Amazon CDK. Familiarity with Angular or React for UI development. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nice to Have: AWS Certifications. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of industry security standards and best practices.
