As a Senior Specialist within the Climate Change and Sustainability consulting practice, your role will be central in spearheading and moulding our endeavours concentrated on climate issues. Your duties encompass advancing continuous expansion for the practice, encouraging innovation, and securing meaningful results. Your collaboration with both internal and external partners will be crucial in formulating strategies, offering insightful guidance, and adding to the worldwide conversation on sustainability, climate resilience, and the advancement of low-carbon approaches.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Lead the CCS practice at MSC, ensuring it aligns with the organization\'s mission and values.
Identify opportunities for innovation within the CCS practice and develop new service offerings to attract funders.
Create and implement a comprehensive business plan to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and increase the practice\'s impact.
Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing with other practice groups within MSC.
Contribute to thought leadership within strategic areas related to the CCS practice.
Extract strategic value from MSC\'s engagement with the CIFAR Alliance\'s Climate Resilient Agriculture and Elevating the Voices of Affected People working groups.
Promote collaboration among technology-enabled startups, venture funds, and NGOs through MSC\'s Climate Resilient Agriculture \xe2\x80\x93 Virtual Club, leading to opportunities for MSC.
Facilitate MSC\'s participation in prominent Global and Regional forums focused on Climate Change and Sustainability.
Business Development:
Conceptualize programs and secure funding from international development agencies, multilateral institutions, and governments.
Lead the conceptualization and proposal writing for projects aimed at promoting financial, social, and economic inclusion through inclusive banking and financial services.
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including funding partners, clients, policymakers, and government agencies.
Contribute as an author or co-author to thematic publications based on field experiences.
Engage actively in marketing efforts and participate in digital media discussions.
Lead and assist in the technical design and implementation of projects:
Develop, lead, and execute technical projects focusing on financial inclusion, agriculture finance, FinTech, banking and financial services, and emerging topics like gender and youth inclusion.
Manage training and capacity-building initiatives for participants across various sectors.
Business Execution:
Participate in project set-up and de-briefing meetings.
Lead and deliver on projects and assignments.
Execute projects with diligence, attention to detail, and focus on quality.
Make presentations of consulting project outputs to senior management, policymakers, and government ministries.
Review reports and presentations created by practice group team members.
Lead report writing and data analysis.
Establish connections with key client staff to gather project-related information.
Review delivered training courses, developed curriculum, and provided technical assistance to clients.
Contribute to the development of MSC\xe2\x80\x99s tool kits and publications.
Professional Development:
Perform feedback assessments promptly after completing assignments, adhering to quality control standards.
Aid in the growth of fellow staff members through offering relevant guidance and advice.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Attainment of MBA, Economics, Finance, and associated fields from a prestigious academic institution.
