We\'re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our FMA - DEPOSITS COE team. This role is in PUNE, Maharashtra - HYBRID. In this role, you\'ll make an impact in the following ways: The Senior Specialist, Financial Planning & Analysis - Deposits/Balance Sheet COE is responsible for providing business, financial, and/or systems analysis and reporting support for deposits. The person is accountable for ensuring good governance model to deliver complex analytics and reporting . S/he plays an integral role providing support for the development of period end commentary, variance analyses, and reporting, supporting KPI metrics tracking and performing NIR and Deposit planning / Forecasting activities. The Deposits Center of Excellence (COE) is tasked with the responsibility of being data stewards of deposits across the organization with focus on end to end (front to back) optimization, adopting digital automation to provide, accurate, complete, and timely data sets. Efficient, flexible, scalable delivery of control, data management and reporting services. The team works closely with other businesses and other functional teams to achieve these goals. Delivering advanced financial analytics and reporting in support of assigned line of business, corporate function, or region. Identifies financial planning and reporting needs, and partners with the customer to ensure needs are met. Performs advanced analyses to support end to end processes within Finance including the support for the period close, analyses of performance such as forecasted period revenue and expenses against actual results, and metrics and scorecard reporting. Identifies and monitors trends, and presents findings to finance leadership and/or the business. Updates short term and long range forecasts and methodologies using multiple inputs and assumptions to reflect changes in business strategies and business intelligence in the competitive environment impacting lines of business. Conducts advanced trend analysis on financial data and operating performance. Develops recommendations on improving efficiency and effectiveness against benchmarks. Participates in the development of annual operating, capital and strategic plans. Compiles financial information, conducts sophisticated analysis as needed, and interprets results and business implications. Providing guidance to less experienced team members as needed. May lead small projects and/or analyses. Primarily responsible for the accuracy and quality of own work and the work of assigned team members. Work contributes to the achievement of area goals. Key Responsibilities Full ownership of monthly financials and management reporting related to deposits including oversight of all financial reporting for deposits, monitoring activity throughout the month end close and providing management with regular updates on monthly performance and results Understand and evaluate the impact to deposits from the changes in rates, Fed balance sheet actions, flows, product mix, currency mix, etc. Partner with the Treasury and Business teams to analyze deposit scenarios at client level, client level ROA analysis and NIR estimation and projections Develop robust reporting and analytics of operating results while ensuring completeness and accuracy of the financial statements One stop shop for communicating changes and answering questions related to deposits Central hub for all Deposit related reporting and analytics like Dailies, weeklies, and monthly deposits analysis reports for senior management Proactively use various financial systems to gather the needed information accurately and efficiently. Bridging multiple tools and application and trying to connect the gaps Focus on automation of the reporting while ensuring data governance leading to improved data quality Lead the consolidation of the annual business plan and all financial forecasts for Deposits and Other Balance sheet items across businesses Ability to analyze and report on financial products and financial risk, macroeconomic issues, interest rate risk, and relevant regulation May lead small projects and/or analyses. Primarily responsible for the accuracy and quality of own work and the work of assigned project team members. Expanding the scope from Deposits COE to All Balance Sheet aspects To be successful in this role, we\'re seeking the following: Master\'s degree in a financial discipline such as accounting, finance, statistics, or economics or local country equivalent is required. MBA or local country equivalent is preferred. Professional qualification like CA, CFA, or equivalent certification would be an added advantage 10 or more years of experience in accounting or finance Knowledge of Asset and Liability Management (ALM) and Balance sheet would be preferred Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deliverables with demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills Strong written and verbal communications skills Good analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), Power Query, SQL would be an added advantage Proficiency with reporting tools like Planning Analytics/TM1, Cubus EV, HFM, Cognos, Power BI Proficiency with SAP, PeopleSoft or other relative ERP/ accounting tools Self-starter - Should drive change on their own with minimal direction needed Leadership qualities At BNY Mellon, our inclusive culture speaks for itself.
