Senior Manager, Senior Data AnalystWe are seeking a talented, motivated and self-driven professional to join the Human Health Digital, Data and Analytics (HHDDA) organization and play an active role in our Company's Human Health transformation journey to become the premier Data First commercial biopharma organization.As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be part of the HHDDA Data Solutions team where you will be responsible for leading data analysis for commercial data solutions, shaping the data analysis strategy, overseeing analysis across use cases, conduct root cause analysis, employ analytical skills and statistical techniques. You will play a key role in understanding, maintaining and utilizing data assets/products optimally, establishing enterprise data principles, standards, and guidelines on behalf of the assigned functional area or data domain, and serving as the single point of contact for matters of data quality, fitness, and implementation of data governance. You will be responsible for data stewardship activities and act as the subject matter expert, working with data consumers and stakeholders on how to best manage and leverage data assets & analytic products within the organization. You will also work closely with data product owners and data engineers to support these data assets/products throughout their lifecycle.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform data profiling and exploratory data analysis to understand dataset characteristics, identify patterns and inform definition of metrics, KPIs and features
  • Conduct business rule exploration and validation
  • Perform source-to-target mapping to identify and document all required data transformations
  • Ensure compliance, security, and quality of data assets and analytics products, making sure these are fit for purpose
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) with your specific data domain(s) working closely with data engineers, data product owners and data consumers
  • Monitor data usage and provide insight into how, when and where teams can best utilize data for decision making
  • Manage definition and implementation of policies and procedures around intake, storage, processing, and transmission of data
  • Maintain and update all data management and administration related documents and processes (i.e., business processes & workflows, data definitions, business rules, data requirements, data conversion and cleansing plans).
  • Have a scope that spans the full information management life-cycle from data acquisition, data cleansing, transformation, classification and storage to presentation, distribution, security, privacy and archiving.
  • Provide operational oversight throughout the lifecycle of data assets & analytics products
  • Develop and promote Data Lineage products and data governance best practices
  • Lead teams/initiatives to achieve established data quality/governance objectives, conduct data investigations and drive resolution of data-related issues
  • Regularly partner with IT teams in implementing practices and leveraging existing governance tools
  • Facilitate development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the organization; report on and escalate data quality/governance/compliance issues as needed
  • Define performance indicators and quality metrics to ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities
  • Promote adoption of data governance processes by establishing clear understanding and improving the data management process based on ever changing needs of the organization.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Providing input and ideas for new collection methods and product enhancements related to the dataset.
  • Develop data reconciliation reports to ensure accuracy of ETL Processes and ensure data parity across multiple systems
Education:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or related field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Business, etc.
Required Experience and Skills:
  • 8+ years of relevant data management consulting or industry experience (master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, data modeling).
  • Thorough knowledge on how data assets & analytics products are developed and used within business processes and data science/analytics use cases, by different consumers
  • Analytical and data-focused thinking, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with knowledge and experience with relevant data domains and datasets
  • Ability to drive decisions for their functional area to data domain owners and ability to influence across business/functional areas
  • Possess knowledge and expertise in data modeling and management techniques and strategies
  • Ability to develop efficient processes and produce high-quality documentation.
  • Experience analyzing digital data including analyses such as customer/patient journey mapping, data flow analysis / lineage, audience profiling/segmentation, cohort/mix analysis, digital channel analysis.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools: primarily SQL, python/R, and similar tools
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Experience leading and managing data delivery project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go-live
  • Technical expertise in data architecture principles and design aspects of various database management systems and reporting concepts
  • Experience with data modeling and test data management tools
  • Understanding of Global Commercial and Marketing Analytics domains and data landscape
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile ways of working and scrum methodologies
