Posion: Senior Solar Engineer

Locaon: Chennai

Responsibilies:

Preparaon of all Primary Engineering Deliverables. Experience in handling complete

Engineering deliverables for AIS /GIS projects, Exposure to Internaonal experience

Standards IEC, IEEE.

Substaon layouts and secon drawings preparaon (2D, 3D) for budgetary offers / tenders

/ projects based on customer specificaon.

HV/MV/LV Cable Engineering including sizing, installaon details and calculaons.

Prepare, review, and validate Bill of material for tenders or projects based on requirement.

Responsible for all design calculaons related to Primary Engineering (AIS /GIS).

Grounding system design, drawings, and Bill of Materials.

Lightning protecon system design, drawings, and BOM.

Lighng system design and BOM.

Technical data sheets verificaon of primary equipment. Knowledge of primary equipment,

such as GIS, circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers,

power transformers, etc.

Providing opmized and customized soluons for various substaon tenders (AIS, GIS,

Hybrid).

Use creavity wherever appropriate to provide best soluons for the given situaon within

the framework of tender connuously develop standard templates and databases for tender

engineering.

Vendor Offer Evaluaons. FAT / SAT of primary equipment, system as and when needed.

Broad understanding of Protecon and Control (PC), SCADA, Telecom, Tele protecon, as

well as substaon design.

Knowledge and exposure on protecon funcons for electrical power transmission lines,

power transformers

Designing protecon and control schemes for series compensated lines

Knowledge on analysis of fault records and fault annunciaons from protecon relays,

substaon control and protecon systems and SCADA

Desired Profile:

Candidate should be an engineering graduate in Elect / Electronic / Mech.

So skills of ACAD, Dialux, PV Syst and MS related is essenal

Experience with specifying all types of HV and MV equipment used in substaons. Strong

interpersonal and communicaon skills.

Should have minimum 3 to 7 yrs of experience in operaon, maintenance and troubleshoong of

the solar power plant including Switch yard and 33kv /132 KV /220KV Substaon.

Exposure to solar project execuon is an added advantage.

Generaon of PV syst reports based on the site data (for upgrading or new plant)

LCoE requirements, design principles of both Ground mount and rood top systems are essenal.

Preparaon of shading analysis through Google sketch up, preparaon of plant Bom with cost

esmates is one of the requirements.

Required KT on BESS will be given as the company is holding assets of solar BESS.
