Overview:

Under limited supervision, participates in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by providing quality assurance testing capabilities and methodology leadership. Designs, builds and executes test strategies, plans, and tools. Monitors debugging processes including testing results, bug tracking, and reporting. Partners with process stakeholders to mature testing methods through automation and implementation of best practices in alignment with defined goals and priorities. Provides technical and procedural leadership to other team members and contributes to training of new team members as directed.

Participates in the software development lifecycle process by providing quality assurance testing capabilities and testing execution.

Designs, builds, maintains, and uses quality assurance testing tools and platforms as directed.

Develops comprehensive and detailed test plans.

Partners with product owner, software engineers, and product stakeholders to understand product roadmap, work backlog, and priorities.

Participates in meetings, trainings, workshops, and scrum ceremonies as needed.

Monitors debugging process and results including tracking and reporting bugs/defects.

Tracks and reports quality assurance metric as directed.

Demonstrates initiative to learn products and maintain strong working knowledge of product capabilities and functionality.

Creates documentation of a technical and procedural nature where needed and as directed.

Maintains strong knowledge of applicable quality assurance and testing best practices and technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, master's degree preferred

Five to eight years of software quality assurance experience

Experience with various quality assurance testing tools and methodologies

Experience with quality assurance testing automation as part of a CI/CD process

Experience working with Scrum teams to deliver quality assurance

Experience working with confidential and sensitive information requiring elevated security controls.

Experience working with a U.S.-based company subject to the Healthcare Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) strongly preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Fluent in English with full professional proficiency including strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent knowledge of functional testing, smoke testing, performance, load testing, security testing, API testing, and end-to-end testing

Strong knowledge of automated testing practices and common tooling

Strong Knowledge of static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST/IAST)

Strong knowledge of common overall software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes

Good knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms

Able to work individually and as part of a team

Able and willing to learn new software and technologies quickly

Remote Position Requirements

This is a remote (work from home) position

Reliable Internet connection required that supports VOIP calls
